If the indicator on your dashboard is on alerting you to replace brake pads soon, you will also need to replace the pad wear sensor. If the indicator alerting you to a malfunction with your BMWs ABS sensor you may need to replace one of these. There is one sensor per wheel.

(more info) We recommend replacing the brake sensor wire each time the brake pads are replaced. These often become brittle and will disintegrate while removing them from the old pads. This sensor fits both the FRONT and REAR on BMW E32 E34.
It fits the FRONT on E28 M5 and E24 M6 and REAR on E31 850ci.
