Turner Motorsport (TMS) Chip Trade-in Policy: TMS chips are upgradeable to custom versions for free within the first six months. After six months, the upgrade fee is $100, applicable for custom chips that are equal or less in value of the original purchase price of the chip being traded in. The upgrade program only applies to the original retail purchaser of the chip. This program only applies to software upgrades listed in our catalog and being purchased for the same model of vehicle. Chip trade-up applies only if the upgrades you are installing were purchased from TMS. If the parts that require a custom chip are sourced elsewhere other than TMS, the upgrade program does not apply. This program does not apply to dealer/wholesale accounts.

E31 840Ci Turner Motorsport Conforti Performance Chip (more info)
Adding a TMS Performance Chip gives you the biggest bang for your buck! Jim Conforti tuned these chips on the dyno to boost mid range torque and increase horsepower in the upper RPM range. Where the stock V8 seems to fall flat above 5500 RPM, the adjusted fuel and spark maps deliver more horsepower to keep the engine pulling all the way up to the new 7000 RPM rev limit. The best thing is that there is NO downside to installing a TMS Performance Chip. Turner Motorsport has been in the BMW chip business for close to 10 years and all chips are dyno-tuned to achieve optimum performance and safety. As an added feature, the top speed limiter is removed. Premium 91+ octane fuel is required.

E31 850CSi Turner Motorsport Conforti Performance Chip Set (more info)
With the CSi BMW really turned out one of their finest engines. A touch more tuning by Bosch Motronic expert Jim Conforti yields just a little more punch from the big V12. Conforti altered the fuel and ignition mapping to take advantage of premium fuel (91+ octane). Although the 850CSi is required to run "premium" anyway, it is not optimized for it. Changing these settings results in more power and a smoother-running engine.
