BMW E46 Supersprint Exhaust Systems

Description: Supersprint Inc. was formed in 1955 with the objective of designing and building the highest quality exhaust systems in the world. That objective has been the driving force behind each Supersprint product from the first system built to those being developed for the future. When you purchase a Supersprint product you can be assured it is the highest quality available. All design is validated by extensive testing which includes hours of dyno testing on Supersprint's exclusive in-house Maha 4-wheel chassis dynamometer. When compared to a domestic stainless system, the Supersprint Stainless system showed a 30% flow improvement over the Factory M3 system. To protect against corrosion each non-stainless system receives an aluminized coating inside and out. All internal tubing, resonators and tail pipes are stainless steel. Packing material is longstrand stainless steel wool and rockwool. TÜV Approved.

E46 323i/328i (not cabrio); cat-back high-performance exhaust system; mounts to original BMW manifold/catalytic converter and replaces the 2 large resonators in the middle of the exhaust system with a Supersprint-designed tuned resonator; Supersprint sport rear muffler included; full stainless steel construction and mounts with original hangers.

This exhaust system is designed for the discerning enthusiast who wants a very aggressive exhaust tuned for high flow but that won't sound like certain 'tuned' import cars. This exhaust works especially well on highly-tuned street and track cars that see a lot of high-rpm use. The weight-savings over stock is huge as the large resonators in the stock exhaust are removed. The Supersprint resonator is designed to tone down the exhaust to civilized levels and providing needed backpressure to keep torque plentiful at low rpm.

E46 325i/330i, including ZHP and Xi models; cat-back high-performance exhaust system; mounts to original BMW manifold/catalytic converter and deletes the large resonator in the front of the exhaust system; Supersprint rear resonator and muffler included; full stainless steel construction and mounts with original hangers; choose from straight round or oval tip.

This exhaust deletes the front resonator from the exhaust and adds a tuned rear resonator and sport rear muffler. The sound is much more throaty and aggressive than stock but the sound is very refined and not 'boy-racer'. This is one of the best cat-back exhaust systems in the world for the 325 and 330.

Experience the latest design innovation from Supersprint for the E46 M3 -- 'stepped' design headers. While the technology has been in widespread use in Formula 1 for awhile, this is the first application of a stepped design on the E46 M3. In an engine that is tuned as much as the S54, airflow management is critical in getting big horsepower numbers from the exhaust. The Supersprint design is the next step in innovation in header design. By slightly increasing the size of the pipe diameters as the exhaust system moves away from the engine, the exhaust can flow more air. Supersprint's design is tuned specifically for the S54 engine which is important in making more power without losing low-end torque. The headers merge into a precision-fit merge collector and then exhaust gases flow into the oversized S-pipe. Our most-popular package is for the stepped headers with no cats (straight pipe) but cats are available for people who want to keep their cars somewhat streetable. Total horsepower gain with the complete system over a US M3 would be more than 30hp.

We also recommend using this system on the M3 with special software. The Shark Injector software has been specifically designed for cars running headers but no cats. The software "turns down" the readings from the rear O2 sensors and modifies the tolerances for the EGT sensor. Using an exhaust without the cats and proper software will surely cause a Check Engine Light. Click here for more info on the software.
