Front Caliper Piston Upgrade - E82 135i
(more info) The Brembo 6-piston brakes on the 135i promised a major step forward in BMW braking performance. But if you have driven or tracked your 135i hard you have probably found that the calipers are not impervious to issues. While great on the street, numerous owners have reported problems from the track. First and foremost, the caliper pistons have a ceramic buffer between the piston and the brake pad which can easily deteriorate and crumble under the extreme heat from race pads and the track. BMW will sell replacement seals but not the pistons separately.
This set of aluminum pistons and seals are from the StopTech line of calipers and are a direct replacement for the Brembo pistons in the 135i. If you want an upgrade to seals and pistons with greater durability than the originals, this is your ideal kit. StopTech has been the official brake supplier for our racing team since 2003, ensuring that these parts will stand up to the harshest track environments (periodic seal replacement and rebuilding still recommended). For greater braking performance you should also run brake cooling ducts and higher temp brake fluid.
Price is for a full set with enough pistons and seals to do both front calipers. If you have already done this upgrade and just need the seals, choose that option below.
