This part number replaces former BMW part 11 51 7 563 659 (11517563659). This is the newest water pump design from BMW and is correct for all N54 and N55 engines.
You will also need to purchase replacement aluminum screws Part #11510392553 because BMW does not recommend re-using the originals.

Water Pump - E9X M3 - with Upgraded Aluminum Impeller
(more info) Upgrade from the plastic impeller on the stock water pump to this aluminum impeller pump originally developed by BMW for the M3 GT4. This aluminum water pump was designed to stand up to the abuse of racing but can be used on a standard street car. Plastic impellers are earlier BMW's had a tendency to degrade over time and eventually break apart. While we have not seen this issue on the S65 engine as yet, why not get some piece of mind with this original BMW aluminum impeller water pump.
