The Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust System for BMW M3 consists of flow optimized link pipes with 2 x 100 cpsi sports catalysts and integrated resonators. The link pipes are joined to newly developed split-end mufflers. This exhaust system, made fully from titanium, reduces the overall weight when compared to the stock system by 50lbs (23 kg)! From approximately 2500 rpm on, the power increase is about 24 HP. The torque is nearly constant at 25ft-lbs over stock.

That is the real joy of driving: high speed engine benefits in daily practice due to the torque increase. It improves the agility in the lower rpm-range noticeably. Also, the engine is stronger in the higher rpm-range and the elasticity is improved considerably. The improvement of acoustics played an important role in the development. The Akrapovic exhaust system amplifies and rectifies the beautiful sound of the 8-cylinder motor, without appearing invasive or having disadvantages in the daily use. The sound is unlike most other aftermarket exhausts on the market. It's more 'European', accenting the natural mechanical engine noises with a higher pitch and wail. The Akrapovic sound is more like an Italian sportscar than the muscle car rumble of American exhausts.

For the full on track use, we also offer the optional GT4 link pipes that eliminate the catalytic converters and resonators and shave an additional 9 lbs off the weight of the stock system. The GT4 link pipes were developed exclusively for track use where sound levels were not a concern.

The Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust System for BMW M3 consists of 2 completely newly developed and now split-end mufflers. This exhaust system, made fully from titanium, reduces the overall weight when compared to the stock system by about 14 kg (30.8 lbs).

The power increase is about 5 HP. The torque is nearly constant at 3,6 Nm over the stock. That is the real joy of driving: high speed engine benefits in daily practice due to the torque increase. Borla Cat Elimination / Racing Track Pipes - E90/E92 335i & 335xi (more info)

This Borla section replaces the secondary cats on the E9X 335i/335xi. They bolt on to the stock downpipes with factory-style flanges. At the back of this section is an open pipe that can be used with the Borla cat-back mufflers or with another system of your own design (it is not designed to work with the stock exhaust system). Eliminating any part of the stock emissions equipment means this piece is for OFF ROAD USE ONLY.

The cats are a small area of restriction on these cars, so for a track-only car removing the catalytic converter is a must. These also work well when used in conjunction with the Borla cat-back exhaust. These off road track pipes will work on all 335i and 335xi, 2007, 2008, 2009 2010.

E9X M3 Coupe Supersprint X Pipe, designed to replace the stock resonator. This will increase sound, reduce weight and improve exhaust flow. The straight-flow design allows much better flow than the stock resonator, giving a modest horsepower and torque gain, while still preserving low noise levels and a throaty sound.

When used with a Supersprint Sport or Street muffler, this X Pipe eliminates the need for the connecting pipes, and can be connected directly to either the Sport mufflers (left and right) or the Supersprint Street muffler (single muffler).

This turbo down pipe for the 135i and 335i is manufactured from 304 stainless steel using all mandrel bent tubing and each pipe is 65mm in diameter resulting in ultra low backpressure, assuring instant turbo spool up for maximum torques and horsepower gains for your 135i or 335i. The results of installing a complete turbo to tail pipe Supersprint system are a phenomenal 26 hp with a torque gain over 20 lb/ft.

The stock down pipes cause a major restriction in the exhaust flow. BMW's solution to deal with the limited space in the engine compartment is to crush the turbo outlet tubes to reduce the size of the tubing. Doing this created undesirable backpressure. For emission purposes the factory also incorporated built-in pre-cats directly after the turbo outlet ports. This make the exhaust gas backpressure rise to extremely high levels at all rpm and engine loads. This design retains excessive heat in the engine and affects performance in a negative way. The design of the Supersprint down pipes takes advantage of even the smallest space available and frees the exhaust gas flow dramatically. The SS pipe cross section (no crushed pipe) remains constant all along the down pipes and the pre-cats are totally eliminated.

The factory catalysts substantially hinder exhaust flow, which on a twin turbo engine like the 335i, makes for a substantial power loss. Instead of the factory 335i quad cat design, Supersprint uses 2 high volume / high flow 100 cpsi metallic race cats for lowest restriction. After the down pipes' outlet flanges, the cross section shrinks down from 65mm to 60mm, (still larger than the factory 57mm tubing size) and it is maintained constant all the way to the tail tips. There are no crushed sections in the tubing as with the factory system, further contributing to better exhaust flow. Supersprint Cat-Back Exhaust System for 335i (Warehouse Clearance!) (more info)

This Supersprint exhaust system will open up the breathing on your 335i for a big increase in power and a sportier sound. The exhaust system on this car is one of the key areas to tune to increase power. Removing the restriction of the stock exhaust opens up the air passages and allows the turbos to spool faster. Not that the stock engine is slow off the line – but the Supersprint system adds 30-40ft-lbs of torque below 4500 rpm when used with the downpipes and sport cats! And the sport mufflers add a beautiful throaty purr to the exhaust that you’ll love with every blip or smash of the throttle. Choose from two tip styles: single 90mm tip per side or dual 80mm tips on each side. This system comes with oversized piping for maximum flow from the secondary cat-back (center crossover pipes included, deletes the rear resonators).

As an option, you can choose to delete the front catalytic converters and replace the secondaries with high-flow units (includes a new turbo downpipe). This 100% T304 mandrel bent exhaust system has been developed using feedback from testing all of the "other" exhaust systems out there, as well as direct feedback from our customers. After several months of work, we're confident we've finally got this 335i system JUST RIGHT. It offers a huge increase in exhaust flow rate, with a street tuned sound that is not too quiet (like stock) and not too loud (like a race car). Special care was given to minimize "drone" noises, particularly for highway cruising and light-footed around-town driving. Open the throttle up, though, and this exhaust creates a powerful -- yet tasteful -- ROAR for your 335i or 335xi (with x-drive).

Not cutting! No welding! Many other systems on the market for the BMW 335i & 335xi require cutting your stock exhaust, and either welding or clamping the components in place. This system is a direct bolt on, bolting to the factory 335i front catalyst pipes, and replacing everything from the cat back to the tail pipes. We didn't use any shortcuts on this exhaust. Even the muffler packing materials are German composite and US OE grade stainless steel. Connections between sections are made with heavy duty stainless steel band clamps. And the exhaust tips are both dual walled, bevel edged, and adjustable so you can get the tips exactly where you want them. Our signature "TURNER" logo is laser engraved on each of the polished tips.

A turbo impeller wheel speed is mostly limited by the exhaust back pressure within the system. If one could eliminate some or most of this exhaust back pressure, the turbo will spool that much faster and effortlessly resulting in quicker engine revs and increase HP. The Active Autowerke Signature down pipe is designed with the intent to maximize in power. The down pipes are created with the least amount of restrictions possible by utilizing a full 3" piping throughout with the least amount of bends possible, that is impressive when compared to the factory diameter of 2.50". What you will experience is a faster, more responsive engine because the turbo impeller now has the ability to spool that much faster. The end result is more power. For added durability, factory like support braces are also implemented to alleviate stresses upon the turbos. Oxygen Sensors (O2 Sensors)

O2 Sensor Bung and plug. This weld-in bung allows an O2 sensor to be screwed into your exhaust system. It's required for custom exhaust systems, and is also useful for air/fuel ratio measurements when dyno testing. A threaded plug is included to cap off when not in use. Install Tips

Locate bung as close to engine a possible, without exceeding the maximum operating temperature for the O2 sensor. The suggested location is just down-stream of the merge-collector on each bank of cylinders.
Sensors located after upstream exhaust system leaks or too close to exhaust outlets are susceptible to poor readings or influence of ambient air
O2 Sensors exposed to exhaust gasses with too high amount of un-burnt fuel can lead to misleading readings. A possible lean reading.
Locate sensor/bung 90° to exhaust gas stream.
Locate sensor/bung in tube with a minimum of 10° up angel to prevent liquid build up in sensor element.
Use stainless steel welding wire or rod when installing bung.
Do not have bung plug or a oxygen sensor installed when welding bung in place.
Welding can distort the bung so it is recommended you chase/tap the threads of the bung after welding.
When installing O2 sensor or plug, use an O2 sensor compatible high temperature resistant grease on the threads.
Use tightening torque suggested by O2 senor manufacturer.
