    Pads: each of the pads in this package is an upgrade over stock. The Axxis Metal Master street pads is the default option with other options available depending on pad use.

    Brake Fluid: Ate Super Blue (blue color) or Ate Type 200 (amber color). It's generally recommended to use the opposite color of what is in your car now. This way, you'll know when the brakes have been bled as the new color will come through the line.

    E30 M3 EVO III Carbon Fiber Brake Ducts   (more info)
    Made in the USAThe original brake ducts from the EVO3 M3 were a highly sought after upgrade, both for appearance and performance. These parts, however, have been discontinued by BMW for many years, leaving M3 owners with only make-shift and custom options for brake cooling from the bumper. TMS has taken the original kit, made some improvements, and has re-introduced the kit for the BMW market. The TMS kit is higher quality, looks better, and even fits better than the Original BMW kit ever did. All while still retaining a factory Sport Evo appearance.

    We have molded these parts from 100% aerospace pre-impregnated carbon fiber and cured in an autoclave for highest quality. Unlike other carbon products, these do not use any fiberglass or fiberglass resin which weakens the final product and makes it heavier. The bumper ducts can be painted if desired for a factory look.

    One of the biggest improvements is in the fitment of the inlet ducts to the bumper. The Original BMW kit used spring clips that did not keep the duct positioned in the bumper very well. Other aftermarket kits used a universal duct and required you to fabricate a bracket. Coupled with poor quality plastic ducts the result had gaps, mis-aligned parts, or the ducts falling out altogether. The TMS ducts are held in place with hidden hardware from the backside of the duct. This keeps the duct securely in place at all times and has a cleaner appearance.

    Turner Motorsport E46 Carbon Fiber Brake Backing Plates   (more info)
    Made in the USAThe TMS carbon brake backing plates are made of pure carbon and high temperature resin. Our unique design specifically for the E46 (and non-m Z3) is optimized for 3" hose and allows the air to flow directly to the rotor with no impedance, with a considerably lower weight than competing products. When flow tested compared to a competitor’s product, the TMS ducts flowed twice as much. This greatly reduces the chance of brake fade, boiling the brake fluid, and wear and tear on your brake components. Installation is easy, as it does not require removal of the wheel bearing. We do this by making the backing plate in two parts. The main backing plate and a block off plate that bolt together. Most companies just have a big slot so you can slide the backing plate on, but then it just lets air flow right out of it. We block off the hole to maximizing brake cooling airflow to the center of the rotor.

    Looking for a great performing, dust-free street pad? These are the pads for you. The Axxis / PBR Metal Masters are an ideal brake pad to use for both normal and high performance street driving. The unique semi metallic pad material eliminates much of the brake dust residue, noise, and fading that can be found when using OEM pads. These pads are EXTREMELY easy on rotors. Don't let the price fool you, although these pads are 1/3 the price of factory replacements they are a superior pad. Price is per "axle" set. For some models we also offer OEM replacement pads.     The HP Plus pads were designed for autocross use and are a great pad when a track pad is needed for light use on the street. It was designed specifically for autocross, Solo II, and driver school events. HP Plus pads feature high friction levels in a broad temperature range, allowing you to use these pads to get to and from the track and still achieve ‘race-level’ braking performance on the course. The HP Plus is an introductory racing pad and is a great step-up from a street pad if you have exceeded its capabilities on the track. Although you can use these pads on the street, they do need more heat in them than the stock or HPS pads to work effectively.     Dark Blue Sport: Street - This is a high performance compound with low fading characteristics and high cold-friction. The most comfortable medium friction sport compound. The Sport Pad is rotor friendly and suitable for street and light track use!

    Orange RS 4-4: Racing - This compound has a very good fade resistance and a higher average friction value than the RS 4-2. It is rotor friendly with predictable, non-aggressive friction behavior (stable torque). Fading resistance up to 560°C (1.050°F). It is a very good rear compound for Touring Car applications in combination with RS 29 or RS 19 Yellow front pads. It is used on either Short Track or Long Distance. It is also used on BMW Showroom Stock, all other Touring-Cars and Single- Seater up to F3.

    Yellow RS 19: Racing - Pagid's classic compound for endurance racing on the basis of the RS 14. A slight reduction of the friction value improves the modulation (controllability). Constant temperatures up to 600°C (1.100°F) are possible. The combination of friction value, fading stability and low wear rates on pads and discs (rotors) realized with this pad compound is unmatched up to now. Due to its outstanding wear rate and driveability, PAGID endurance materials are often used at sprint races. A multiple winner of Daytona 24h, Le Mans 24h, Sebring 12h, Spa 24 h, Nürburgring 24h, often with no pad change and usually no disc (rotor) change.

    Yellow RS 29: Racing New endurance compound. This compound combines the outstanding wear rate of the RS19 with a slightly higher coefficient of friction and initial bite. Due to its outstanding wear rate and driveability, PAGID endurance materials are often used at sprint races as well.

    Black RS 14: Racing - This is a medium high friction value ceramic type compound with very good modulation, high fade resistance, low heat conductivity, and a good wear rate up to a temperature of 650°C (1.200°F). It is kind on discs, with visible grooving, but a limitation of hairline cracks. Applications include NASCAR, CART, F3, Touring cars, GT cars, WSC, Trans Am and Rally.

    Since Pagid pads tend to "out-gas" we recommend using these pads with a new gas-slotted or cross-drilled rotor for the best performance. Pagid brake pads are not compatible with previously used rotors, especially if used with a carbon or Kevlar based race pad.

    Cross-drilled rotors are a quick and simple way to improve initial pad bite. With the additional leading edges at each hole, the pad is able to grab the rotor just a little bit harder when it’s time to stop NOW! Tests have shown (and drivers can feel) the immediate improvement. The holes also provide better cooling under hard use. Pad wear may be accelerated slightly (depending on driving technique), so only high quality brake pads should be considered.

    Slotted rotors provide much of the increased pad bite that cross-drilled rotors do, but can handle the heat of more aggressive use. The slots act as a wiper, cleaning the pad face as they go by to reduce pad glazing, keeping the pads fresh for optimal performance. If taking the car often to track days or where very spirited driving is the norm, slotted rotors are the smart choice.

    Cross-drilled and slotted rotors combine the best of both. Fewer holes mean longer pad life with little penalty in the way of initial pad bite. These are popular, aggressive-looking patterns that look great behind custom wheels.

    Every SportStop® rotor is finished with black e-coating on both sides of the hat, inside the the cooling vanes, and on the outside edge. E-coating is a superior electro-statically applied finish designed to withstand 400 hours of salt water exposure without rusting. This is especially important on both mounting faces of the hat where it touches the hub flange and back face of the wheel. Any accumulation of rust in these area can lead to installed lateral run out issues.

    Modern stock brake systems, for the most part, work well for a single 60-0 or 80-0 stop, and average daily street driving. The typical performance enthusiast will quickly push the stock brake system beyond its capabilities. Driving style and other performance modifications such as increased horsepower, tire and suspension upgrades quickly add up to overpowering stock brakes. A big brake kit will provide increased heat capacity, which means substantially more resistance to brake fade and caliper distortion with multiple stops from high speed. A firmer pedal due to stronger and stiffer components, as well as better modulation characteristics under threshold braking are also typical with a properly balanced brake upgrade.     Replacement StopTech AeroRotors for Big Brake Kits. These are direct replacement discs for those used on Big Brake Kits and will not replace the rotors on your original equipment brake system. To install these you will remove the rotor/hat assembly, remove the hat from the friction disc, and assemble the new disc with the original hat. New hardware is supplied with each disc.
