BMW OEM Clutch Kits & Clutch Parts

Clutch kits from Original Equipment Manufacturers such as Sachs and LUK. Kits include clutch disc, pressure plate, throw-out bearing and clutch alignment tool (when available). Clutch replacement should be carried out by qualified shops as special BMW tools may be required. Call for applications not listed. Sachs and LUK are official suppliers to BMW.

This is the direct replacement clutch kit for the E28 M5, E34 M5, E24 M6, and the Euro M635CSi. This Sachs OEM kit comes complete with clutch disc, pressure plate, and throw-out bearing. The clutch on the E34 M5 is designed to take a lot of abuse but be user-friendly at the same time. However, this means that it can wear "qucikly" when the car is driven hard. When treated with consideration there's no reason why the stock OEM clutch can't last 100+k miles. This is the best choice when you want to maintain a reliable and efficient clutch system without the need for a different flywheel, additional parts, or awkward clutch engagement.

This item fits the following BMWs:
    1985-1988 E28 BMW M5
    1989-1995 E34 BMW M5 3.6 (US or Euro)
    1985-1988 E24 BMW M6 M635CSi (Euro)
    Part #: 21212226428
    Price: $549.95 (USD)
    Quantity:
318i Replacement clutch kit. This is the OEM Sachs clutch kit and includes the three major components of the clutch system: clutch friction disc, pressure plate, and throw-out bearing. A clutch alignment tool is also included. BMW clutches are overbuilt - capable of handling additional torque but be user-friendly at the same time. However, this means that it can wear "qucikly" when the car is driven hard. When treated with consideration, there's no reason why the stock OEM clutch can't last 100+k miles. Although we are big proponents of sport clutches and lightweight flywheels, this OEM 318 clutch is the best option for 95% of our customers.

Since a lot has to be removed to access and replace the clutch, it's a good idea to consider servicing related parts and systems at the same time. The dual mass flywheel is typically good for only two clutch jobs (replace it every other time). The pilot bearing and rear main seal should also be replaced. With the transmission out, this is the perfect time to replace the input and output shaft seals (the latter is especially prone to leaking). If nothing is leaking then you may want to leave it alone. The shifter assembly, linkage, and transmission mounts could probably be improved. And then there are parts that need to be replaced anyway, such as exhaust gaskets, hangers, and hardware. Contact us and we can put together a custom list of additional parts to make your clutch job go a lot smoother.

However, this means that it can wear "qucikly" when the car is driven hard. When treated with consideration, there's no reason why the stock OEM clutch can't last 100+k miles. Although we are big proponents of sport clutches and lightweight flywheels, this OEM M54 clutch is the best option for 95% of our customers.

This part is the Genuine BMW clutch spring clip. When replacing a clutch it is a good idea to replace all the components possible while you are in there. You don't want to have to drop the exhaust, and transmission again to replace a $1.95 gasket, bolt or pivot pin.

Z4 M replacement clutch kit. Although we are big proponents of sport clutches and lightweight flywheels, this OEM MZ4 clutch is the best option for 95% of our customers.

Installing a clutch is a job you want to do right the first time. Our comprehensive kit includes all the gaskets, seals, and hardware necessary for a standard clutch replacement. Believe me it is no fun to have the car apart only to find you need some additional parts or to find out you have to drop the transmission for the second time to replace a leaking seal.
