Upgrading various parts of the differential can have tremendous benefits in your car's performance. It's easy to forget that the differential is a source for making your car faster and handle better so it's often overlooked. The engine is not the only place to make the car faster. Our differential options vary from gearing upgrades to limited slip conversions. You can purchase the ring & pinion gear sets on their own (professional installation required) or have us build a diff around your own specifcations. The options are almost endless! Every custom-built diff is fully rebuilt with seals and bearings. We also design and supply bushing options to reduce driveline wind-up, finned differential covers for better cooling, and more!

Ratio Changes - Changing the differential gearing is one of the best and most-effective upgrades you can make on any BMW (old or new). By using a shorter (numerically higher) final drive ratio you are increasing your RPM relative to road speed - this puts you in a more powerful RPM range than before! Since you're in a 'meatier' part of the power band you're now putting down more power/torque to the ground. If you can trade outright top speed for faster acceleration at daily speeds then this is the perfect upgrade for you.

Limited Slip Upgrades - Sadly, many BMWs today are not equipped with a limited slip (posi-traction) differential. BMW has tried to compensate by using traction control that cuts power at the engine or applies the brakes to retard wheel spin (or a combination of both). But nothing beats the function and feel of a a true LSD which may be why BMW continues to use them in M cars. Our LSD upgrades can be done a number of different ways - a factory-type limited slip unit with either 2 or 3 clutch packs, helical type, OS Giken unit, or something truly custom. We can also vary ramp angles and setup to change the limited-slip behavior under acceleration, deceleration, and cornering. Need a custom diff? Call or e-mail to have a quote.

UUC designs and manufacturers their own precision-engineered shifter components and complete short shift kits. Hands-down, UUC stands above the rest with kits that are custom tailored to your specific BMW model. UUC short shift kits are constructed from 100% stainless steel and aluminum and feature a flex free lever – far superior than other kits that use a modified BMW shift lever. Long lasting materials are used throughout the rest of the kit as well. Each Evo 3 short shifter comes with a sealed bearing at the lower pivot point that eliminates friction. And Delrin shifter carrier bushings are available on most models to eliminate excess side-to-side movement of the shifter. Each UUC Evo short shift lever is height-adjustable from stock shift knob height to .75” lower for superior ergonomics.

A common BMW insider's trick is to use a shift lever from another model to make your own short shift kit. BMW has picked up on this retrofitting with their own series of short shift kits using all factory BMW parts. BMW Performance shift kits are among the most complete and easiest kits on the market - shift lever, nylon ball cup, boot, and shift knob are included in most kits. This is everything you would need to replace when installing a shift lever plus a new knob to top it all off. Shifts are reduced by 25% on most models. With a fresh lever and bushings you can restore precision and feel to your shifter. BMW short shift kits are easy to shift - not excessively notchy. This makes them perfect as a shifter refresh as well as an upgrade.

Increase the precision and smoothness of ANY and ALL shifters -- stock or aftermarket! Whether you have a factory stock shifter or an aftermarket short shift kit, a UUC Double Shear Selector Rod (DSSR) will dramatically improve it. The shift linkage is one of the most over-looked areas for improvement. Usually parts are replaced only when something breaks. But restoring and improving on the basic design can do wonders for your driving experience and piece of mind.

The original shifter linkage was engineered with costs in mind. It uses a lot of plastic and stamped sheetmetal parts to keep costs low. But they quickly wear out and by 50,000 miles there is considerable slop and play in the shifter action. UUC Motorwerks has attacked this problem with precision engineered replacement parts that perform better and last longer than the original factory pieces. The DSSR replaces the factory loosely-mounted selector rod with a beefier and more robust milled aluminum piece. The DSSR gives you a more precise and direct feel when shifting. Along with a fresh replacement of the other shifter bushings you won't have that flimsy feeling and side-side slop of a stock shifter linkage (even when new). The DSSR is a great upgrade to any short shifter, or even for refreshing your stock shift linkage.

These heavy-duty clutch kits use aluminum lightweight flywheels with sport clutch components to give your clutch the grip and clamping force it needs to cope with high torque upgrades. Our kits were developed through racing programs by companies affiliated with our own race team - JB Racing, Sachs Sport, OS Giken, and UUC Motorwerks. JB Racing is the leader in aluminum lightweight flywheel upgrades. They are direct replacements for the stock dual-mass flywheels with steel contact surfaces and computer balanced to 14,000 RPM. JB has partnered with Sachs to spec sport/HD clutch discs and pressure plates that work seamlessly with their aluminum flywheels. The result is a clutch/flywheel upgrade package that functions a lot like the original clutch combo with near-stock levels of effort and engangement but with a much higher torque capacity. Don't let the clutch be your weak link in a highly tuned car!

has manufactured and supplied high quality lightweight aluminum flywheels to the performance industry for over 25 years. JB is the original designer and manufacturer of the BMW E36 aluminum flywheel. JB Racing is constantly expanding their flywheel line to include the latest performance applications such as; Mini Cooper and BMW E46 325/330, and Z4 utilizing the new 6-speed (SMG) transmission.  ALL of the current dual-mass replacement flywheels are designed to accommodate most of the common sprung-hub clutch discs to minimize the gearbox “rattle.” Sachs, S.P.E.C., Clutch Net, and others manufacture sprung-hub discs that will clear in the center hub cavity of these flywheels.

All of their flywheels are designed, manufactured, and assembled in-house at their  Florida facility which allows to maintain stringent quality control. You simply cannot buy a higher quality lightweight aluminum BMW flywheel… at any price!

This braided stainless steel line replaces the stock hydraulic hose connecting your clutch slave cylinder to the clutch master cylinder. Rubber hoses are known for swelling/deforming under pressure and vacuum, especially with age. This effects pedal feel. A firmer stainless line ensures less deformation and improved pedal feel.

This is a great upgrade to do at the same time as removing your BMW's clutch delay valve (CDV), a small fluid restrictor fitting found inline of the stock clutch hydraulic line that "slows" the movement of fluid in the system, creating a delay in clutch reaction. Removing the CDV and upgrading to a stainless steel line will make for a noticeable improvement in clutch engagement and overall pedal feel.

We offer front and rear axle shafts for your BMW. BMW all wheel drive models front axle shafts are common failure items. We recommend inspecting the rubber boots regularly as a preventative measure. If the CV joints of the axle shaft are exposed to water and dirt they are very likely to fail prematurely.

Got a vibration through the driveline on your BMW? Did you know that the u-joints are not replaceable on a factory driveshaft? OUr remanufactured driveshafts allow for future replacement of u-joints and are rebuilt to a higher specification than the factory driveshaft. We start with OEM u-joints and then machine yokes onto the driveshaft to allow for future u-joint replacement. All bushings, universal joints, center bearings are replaced with new hardware (flex discs are not included but available separately). The whole unit is then dynamically balanced on a precision Axiline Balancer.

A worn-out center support bearing can lead to some annoying side-effects. The driveshaft on BMWs is broken up into 2 sections. The center support bearing is where the 2 sections meet. It consists of a metal bearing in the middle that is surrounded by vibration-absorbing rubber. As the vehicle ages the rubber becomes weak and rips away from the bearing. The result is a vibration and a bad thumping or knocking sound.

Find BMW driveshaft and axle shaft parts, including flex discs (aka: the guibo) is a vibration dampener mounted on the back of the transmission. The flex disc acts as a buffer between the transmission's output shaft and the driveshaft leading back to the car's differential. Visual inspection is the only way to tell if the disc is beginning to wear. Cars with worn discs will notice a harsh vibration when starting from a stop and the disc should be replaced (along with the center support bearing) ASAP.

Transmission mounts locate the transmission to the chassis of the car. Nearly all BMW transmission mounts are made of rubber which is great for absorbing vibrations and noise but may not last very long. Oil from a failing transmission seals will also contribute to premature rubber mount wear. Worn out tranny mounts can lead to harder and imprecise shifting and maybe even a dreaded mis-shift. Rubber trans mounts are generally inexpensive so replacing them every few years will not break the bank. We also offer upgraded stiffer rubber or urethane mounts that last longer and deflect less so the transmission stays in its proper place and the shift linkage is not mis-aligned.
