    We offer front and rear axle shafts for your BMW. BMW all wheel drive models front axle shafts are common failure items. We recommend inspecting the rubber boots regularly as a preventative measure. If the CV joints of the axle shaft are exposed to water and dirt they are very likely to fail prematurely.

OUr remanufactured driveshafts allow for future replacement of u-joints and are rebuilt to a higher specification than the factory driveshaft. We start with OEM u-joints and then machine yokes onto the driveshaft to allow for future u-joint replacement. All bushings, universal joints, center bearings are replaced with new hardware (flex discs are not included but available separately). The whole unit is then dynamically balanced on a precision Axiline Balancer.

    A worn-out center support bearing can lead to some annoying side-effects. The driveshaft on BMWs is broken up into 2 sections. The center support bearing is where the 2 sections meet. It consists of a metal bearing in the middle that is surrounded by vibration-absorbing rubber. As the vehicle ages the rubber becomes weak and rips away from the bearing. The result is a vibration and a bad thumping or knocking sound.

    Find BMW driveshaft and axle shaft parts, including flex discs (aka: the guibo) is a vibration dampener mounted on the back of the transmission. The flex disc acts as a buffer between the transmission's output shaft and the driveshaft leading back to the car's differential. Visual inspection is the only way to tell if the disc is beginning to wear. Cars with worn discs will notice a harsh vibration when starting from a stop and the disc should be replaced (along with the center support bearing) ASAP.

    Installing the UUC mounts requires very little modification yielding less deflection without additional vibration. The Tranny Mount Enforcer is a add-on piece to the UUC mounts which inhibits a small degree of deflection. The Tranny Mount Enforcer is CNC'd from 6061-T6 aluminum. Two bushings available. Black for cars driven on the street only, red for street cars that are also used on the track or auto-x events.
