The Stage 2 KMAC plates are a mixed street/track camber/caster plate meant to be used in a variety of suspensions. Since there is less bushing than on the Stage 1, more noise and vibration will reach the driver. The adjustment design is similar to the Stage 1 with a floating mount that sets camber and caster simultaneously. This design allows maximum range of adjustment since no other hardware interferes with the adjustments. These plates can work on both coil over and stock-stype suspensions. Bearing inserts and adapters included. The Stage 2 camber plates are shorter than a factory mount so may not be suitable for cars will little suspension travel. One of the tricks for getting your BMW to handle better is to add negative camber to the front wheels. This will put more of the tire's width in contact with the ground during cornering. With more rubber there is more grip. BMWs typically have less camber in the front to create understeer. But if you're running a stock setup on the track or autocross you are giving up speed and time as the front tires run out of grip sooner than they should.

These fixed steel camber plates for your E30/E24/E28 will add 3/4 degree of negative camber and will reduce understeer during hard cornering and save the outside edge of your tire. These plates mount to the top of the upper strut bearing and relocate the top of the strut further in. Combine these with the BMW offset upper strut bearings for even more negative camber. These are the perfect camber solution when adjustable plates are not allowed in your class. We used these in our ultra-successful J-Stock suspension as they maximize the available camber in the tire well when using the large, stock-diameter springs.

Looking for a quality adjustable front camber kit for your Spec E30 racecar? Vorshlag has stepped up and designed a camber kit especially for the SpecE30 rules. These camber plates allow adjustment of camber and caster separately, allowing you to fine-tune your handling for the track you're running.

The Vorshlag design is among the best in the industry thanks to 'over-engineering' of critical components. The center spherical bearing is oversized which makes it better for withstanding the forces and wear normally seen on the racetrack. Each piece is anodized or plated for maximum corrosion reistance.

The Vorshlag SE30 camber kit comes with the camber plates, lower spool adapter, and upper deep-set nuts. Per NASA rules, you must re-use the stock/OE spring plate. Note that Bilstein front strut inserts have used two different thread types - 12x1.25 or 12x1.50. We recommend checking the struts on both sides of the car to ensure you get the correct nuts. If you're unsure, or want both on hand, select the 'Send me both' option below.

Note: this is intended for Spec E30 only because it must conform to the NASA SE30 rules. If you are using another suspension with an OE-style spring, or the SE30 suspension but not racing in that class, let us know and we can put together a different kit for you.

The custom-made TMS adjustable camber plates for the E36 provide up to 4 degrees of negative camber (caster is not adjustable). These beautifully made aluminum camber plates have solid no-play spherical bearings that are ideal for racing or high performance track events. These camber plates are nearly identical to the BMW Motorsport version with a few TMS improvements (including the price). These units replace the rubber upper strut bearing and are easily adjusted by loosening the 3 factory nuts and sliding the camber plate in and out. Because of the clearances between the spring and the body of the car these are suggested for use with coil-over front struts only, using a 60mm, 2.25" or 2.5" ID race spring.

Increasing the negative camber of your 1995 E36 M3 will reduce understeer and prolong the life of your tires when used on the track. These plates simply bolt on top of the factory upper strut bearings and increase negative camber by 2 degrees. We maximized the available camber available with a stock-diameter sized spring. Vehicle height in the front will be raised by .25”. We also added material to the surface area of the mount to increase stiffness of contact area, therefore reducing the strut tower deformation and increasing the strength of the strut towers. Fixed mount camber plates are legal for many racing and autocross classes. These are the perfect camber solution when adjustable plates are not allowed in your class.

Turner E46 M3 Street Camber Plates - General Information
Race camber plates (with solid spherical bearings) are great for the track, but what if you want to drive your car on the street too? That’s what the TMS E46M3 street style caster/camber plates are: A plate you can use on the street, still have the available adjustment of a race camber plate, and not have to put up with a harsh ride or replace the bearings every season.

The E46M3 STOCK strut mount only allows about ½ ° camber adjustment and no caster adjustment. For most track cars or street cars that occasionally see the track, that is not nearly enough. The stock strut mount is also set at an angle that is suited only for that position, and puts additional bending load on the strut if it is not in its original position. The TMS Caster/Camber Plates allow significant camber adjustment from approximately -1.2° to -3.85° and allows for the needed strut angle change.

***Note: Each car’s suspension setup/geometry/ride height will be the limiting factor on range of movement.

Our Plates directly replace the stock strut mount, and incorporate a replaceable custom designed urethane bushing. The stock spring perch and bearing are retained in the assembly, allowing this part to be used with stock or aftermarket struts, such as a Bilstein PSS9 kit. Basically, this is a must for any one who will be auto-crossing, going to track days, or doing any performance driving, and still needs their car as a daily driver.

Manufacturing
Each part of the TMS caster/camber plates is CNC machined from aircraft grade aluminum billet. All aluminum pieces were then coated to MIL-A-8625F Type III spec hardcoat anodizing. Each steel part was either powdercoated or nickel plated to QQ-N-290A Grade F specifications. High grade hardware is used and main internal threads are helicoiled to add strength and life.

The urethane bushing has been custom designed and manufactured specifically for this part and its required characteristics. It is now undergoing lifetime cycle fatigue testing. Real world testing was done using the red TMS E46 M3, and they are still being used.

Design
This product has been fully engineered and designed by Turner Motorsport R&D, in–house. The assembly is designed to directly replace the stock upper strut mount. Each piece has gone through stress analysis, and all movements were pre-simulated in CAD to eliminate any potential interference issues. The main goals for this product were:

• Large range of adjustment while still allowing caster and camber to be adjusted from the top without cutting the strut tower. Cutting of strut towers significantly reduce their strength.
• Maintain proper strut angle at any position by not pre-setting the angle.
• Provide proper orientation with a replaceable urethane bushing
• Minimize any noise associated with the urethane bushing

The surrounding casing and bushing (internal and external) have been designed to work together to allow the proper strut angle to be maintained during adjustment, reducing the bending force on the strut itself, while offering longer life, and proper dampening. This was done through Finite Element Analysis to predict flow characteristics in different situations.

A scale for camber and caster has been laser engraved on the upper plate which will always be visible for adjustment, and the upper plate is a full round circle to better distribute the force on the strut tower so it is not compromised. This has shown to be a problem on several BMW chassis, including the E46. This TMS part will not accelerate strut tower deformation.

Our E46 M3 caster-camber plate is designed for coil over suspensions which use a 60mm, 2.25" or 2.5" ID spring. Originally, our plates were designed for use with the Bilstein PSS9 front struts but with 60mm ID race springs (not the standard PSS9 springs). These will also work on Moton Club Sports and other struts that use a 16mm shock shaft (the stock E46M3 size). Camber is adjusted by simply loosening the top three bolts and sliding the plate. Caster is adjusted at any time from the top of the car. Camber has a wide range of adjustment, from stock to a full race setting (about -1 degree to -3.6 degrees) Detailed settings and combinations will depend on each car’s suspension geometry, ride height etc. When ordering specify/select an upper spring perch in the ID of springs you will be using.

One of the tricks for getting your BMW to handle better is to add negative camber to the front wheels. This will put more of the tire's width in contact with the ground during cornering. With more rubber there is more grip. BMWs typically have less camber in the front to create understeer. But if you're running a stock setup on the track or autocross you are giving up speed and time as the front tires run out of grip sooner than they should.

These E46 fixed camber plates are designed from knowledge gained from our highly successful racing campaigns with the E46 in the Speed World Challenge series. These plates are offset for the best camber and caster combination for racing purposes when using the stock-diameter sized springs. Camber increases to between -2.5° to -3.0°, depending on each individual car. While ride height is increased by 1/8”, the benefit of these plates far outweighs the minor ride height increase. The rate of camber change is virtually unaffected throughout the range of suspension travel, reducing the need for other geometry correction. Material has also been added to increase surface contact area therefore reducing the strut tower deformation and increasing the strength of the strut towers. Fixed mount camber plates are legal in many racing and autocross classes. These are the perfect camber solution when adjustable plates are not allowed in your class. These are a simple bolt on part for all E46 except the xi and M3 models.

Our Rod-End Camber Arms deliver the ultimate in precise camber adjustments and a free-motion design, thanks to the finest rod-end bearings available. We use high-quality stainless, PTFE-lined bearing joints made by the best manufacturers in the business. These bearings are self-lubricating with a PTFE fabric liner for long life and quiet operation. The bodies and threads are heat treated stainless steel. Without spending hundreds of dollars per bearing, these are the best on the market.

Over time, and depending on use and application, the bearing can develop play which does not adversely affect the performance but will make a "clicking" noise. We have a spec tolerance of .015" before recommending replacement. The bearing itself will continue to rotate freely and the camber arm will function as normal. But should you want to replace the rod-end because of the noise, or to meet track inspection requirements, we offer this replacement end. As far as we know this rod-end fits only our BMW rear camber arms and no other brand, although it may have other applications. Price is per rod-end.
