This kit simply replaces the very restrictive factory air box with a freer-flowing cone-style filter kit which provides smooth cool air flow to the engine. Unlike similar styled �cone filter� kits the Eurosport intake features a composite custom-molded heat shield and carbon fiber mandrel-bent intake tube - no metal to attract heat! This composite shield provides protection from the engine's power-robbing hot air and is a perfect fit to your engine bay. The hood acts as the intake�s cover � completely sealing the filter off from the heat of the engine bay. The filter itself is a European ITG foam piece specially engineered for maximum flow, minimum noise, and easy maintenance. It's re-usable with the only maintenance an occassional wash and re-oil. The filter draws air from the factory inlet between the radiator and the headlight. Metric hardware and rubber stripping is also included to give the kit a factory installed appearance. A 12-page instruction book with photos makes installation a breeze for weekend mechanics or professionals. No cutting or modifying of tock components is required. Why do we use an ITG Foam filter? Because it�s the best-performing and safest low-restriction performance air filter you can buy. Testing has shown these filters to remove all particles above 10 microns in size. The particles between 10 and 20 are most harmful to your engine. Compare this to cotton gauze, which cannot filter below 20 microns. The ITG has a much higher tolerance for dust penetration than other filters on the market, maintaining up to 80% of its flow capacity when dirty. Lower maintenance than other filters, it simply needs to be wiped off or the occasional wash.

Does your 325 have the M56 "SULEV" Engine? Many of the 325's produced for the US -- particularly in California, Massachusetts, and a few other states -- came with a different engine, the M56 which meets "SULEV" (Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle) emissions classification. A visual inspection of your engine (as shown below) is the best way to determine if your 325 has the M56 SULEV engine.
