MOTUL 5W40 X-MAX motor oil is a Group IV and V mix synthetic oil which combines MOTUL renowned 300V racing oil technology with PAO technology of the 8100 series oils. This oil is well suited for high-heat applications (such as Turbo applications, 335i etc) and is factory approved by BMW LL01, VW 502 00, VW 505 00, Mercedes Benz 229.3 and 229.5. This lubricant is specially designed for Mercedes-Benz AMG engines, and BMW Valvetronic engines. We believe MOTUL to be the leader in oil and lubricant technology, for both street and track applications.
