These are the typical wear items that need to be replaced - front and rear brake pads, rotors, brake wear sensors, brake fluid, and the rotor retaining screws. Pads: each of the pads in this package is an upgrade over stock. The Axxis Metal Master street pads is the default option with other options available depending on pad use.
Rotors: choose from OEM replacement rotors or a TMS or StoptTech performance upgrade
Brake Fluid: Ate Super Blue (blue color) or Ate Type 200 (amber color). It's generally recommended to use the opposite color of what is in your car now. This way, you'll know when the brakes have been bled as the new color will come through the line.

    TMS E36 & Z3 Carbon Brake Backing Plates
    The TMS carbon brake backing plates are made of pure carbon with Kevlar for reinforcement and high temperature resin. Our unique design specifically for the E36 / E36M3 and Z3 (including MZ3) is optimized for 3” hose and allows the air to flow directly to the rotor with no impedance and weigh a considerable amount less compared to competing products. When flow tested compared to a competitor’s product, the TMS ducts flowed twice as much. This greatly reduces the chance of brake fade, boiling the brake fluid, and wear and tear on your brake components. Our manufacturer is an experienced known composite company that works with many ALMS race teams. Installation is easy as it does not require removal of the wheel bearing.

    TMS E46 Racing Brake Duct Kit
    The TMS E46 Racing Brake Duct Kit (Now legal in SCCA's T2 CLASS) includes a pair of TMS E46 Carbon Brake Backing Plates, a pair of TMS E46 Carbon Fiber Brake Ducts, two 4' sections of 3" wire reinforced silicone brake ducting hose and four hose clamps. These carefully designed spoiler ducts are shaped like an "accumulator box" -ensuring a huge amount of air to your brakes, they also use a minimal amount of hose, are very lightweight and can be custom trim to fit a variety of E46 configurations. The backing plates fit easily onto the back of the rotor without removal of the hub / wheel bearing.     TMS E46 Carbon Brake Backing Plates
    The TMS carbon brake backing plates are made of pure carbon and high temperature resin. Our unique design specifically for the E46 (and non-m Z3) is optimized for 3" hose and allows the air to flow directly to the rotor with no impedance, with a considerably lower weight than competing products. When flow tested compared to a competitor’s product, the TMS ducts flowed twice as much. This greatly reduces the chance of brake fade, boiling the brake fluid, and wear and tear on your brake components. Installation is easy, as it does not require removal of the wheel bearing. We do this by making the backing plate in two parts. The main backing plate and a block off plate that bolt together. Most companies just have a big slot so you can slide the backing plate on, but then it just lets air flow right out of it. We block off the hole to maximizing brake cooling airflow to the center of the rotor.

    The HP Plus pads were designed for autocross use and are a great pad when a track pad is needed for light use on the street. It was designed specifically for autocross, Solo II, and driver school events. HP Plus pads feature high friction levels in a broad temperature range, allowing you to use these pads to get to and from the track and still achieve ‘race-level’ braking performance on the course. The HP Plus is an introductory racing pad and is a great step-up from a street pad if you have exceeded its capabilities on the track.     Dark Blue Sport: Street - This is a high performance compound with low fading characteristics and high cold-friction. The most comfortable medium friction sport compound. The Sport Pad is rotor friendly and suitable for street and light track use!

    Orange RS 4-4: Racing - This compound has a very good fade resistance and a higher average friction value than the RS 4-2. It is rotor friendly with predictable, non-aggressive friction behavior (stable torque). Fading resistance up to 560°C (1.050°F). It is a very good rear compound for Touring Car applications in combination with RS 29 or RS 19 Yellow front pads. It is used on either Short Track or Long Distance. It is also used on BMW Showroom Stock, all other Touring-Cars and Single- Seater up to F3.

    Yellow RS 19: Racing - Pagid's classic compound for endurance racing on the basis of the RS 14. A slight reduction of the friction value improves the modulation (controllability). Constant temperatures up to 600°C (1.100°F) are possible. The combination of friction value, fading stability and low wear rates on pads and discs (rotors) realized with this pad compound is unmatched up to now. Due to its outstanding wear rate and driveability, PAGID endurance materials are often used at sprint races. A multiple winner of Daytona 24h, Le Mans 24h, Sebring 12h, Spa 24 h, Nürburgring 24h, often with no pad change and usually no disc (rotor) change.

    Yellow RS 29: Racing New endurance compound. This compound combines the outstanding wear rate of the RS19 with a slightly higher coefficient of friction and initial bite. Due to its outstanding wear rate and driveability, PAGID endurance materials are often used at sprint races as well.

    Black RS 14: Racing - This is a medium high friction value ceramic type compound with very good modulation, high fade resistance, low heat conductivity, and a good wear rate up to a temperature of 650°C (1.200°F). It is kind on discs, with visible grooving, but a limitation of hairline cracks. Applications include NASCAR, CART, F3, Touring cars, GT cars, WSC, Trans Am and Rally.

    Since Pagid pads tend to "out-gas" we recommend using these pads with a new gas-slotted or cross-drilled rotor for the best performance. Pagid brake pads are not compatible with previously used rotors, especially if used with a carbon or Kevlar based race pad.

    Original BMW Motorsport Brake Rotors:
    For certain BMW models we sell the rotors supplied to the European market. They are a 2-piece design like real racing rotors with an aluminum hat separated from the actual iron friction disc. The separation between the two allows improved cooling throughout the rotor, meaning longer life of rotors and pads, and stable braking performance in aggressive driving and track use. These are Original BMW parts, sourced through BMW. They bolt on in place of your stock rotors with no other parts required. Rotors are priced as a pair unless otherwise noted. Note that these rotors are Motorsport parts, intended for aggressive driving situations. Additional care and inspection is recommended in maintaining your brakes.

    The natural enemy of braking performance is heat. When temperature levels reach critical levels, a thin layer of gasses actually prevent the brake pads from making complete contact with the rotor friction surface. The addition of cross-drilling the friction surface promotes the evacuation of these gasses and improves stopping performance and pedal feel. TMS cross drilled rotors and AXXIS brake pads result in improved braking performance and look great too! All TMS cross drilled rotors are made to exacting standards by the worlds leading brake manufacturers. Each part is then analyzed for its specific application and design. Engineers then determine the optimal drilling pattern to maximize stopping power. These patterns are then cut into the rotor using today's most advanced CNC machines. This level of quality control ensures that each TMS High Performance rotor will perform to the highest levels every time under all driving conditions. All TMS cross-drilled rotors feature counter-sunkholes that reduce stress risers and fractures.

    Developed from years of racing and tracking the E36 and E46, these gas-slotted rotors provide a crucial oulet path for gas. This gas can build up between the pad and the rotor surface, resulting in a slight delay when pressing your foot on the pedal. These are a direct-replacement rotor, in the same dimensions as the stock rotors, and built to an exclusive Turner Motorsport design. Anti-corrosion paint is applied to the rotor hat and the vane area to prevent rust.

    Modern stock brake systems, for the most part, work well for a single 60-0 or 80-0 stop, and average daily street driving. The typical performance enthusiast will quickly push the stock brake system beyond its capabilities. Driving style and other performance modifications such as increased horsepower, tire and suspension upgrades quickly add up to overpowering stock brakes. A big brake kit will provide increased heat capacity, which means substantially more resistance to brake fade and caliper distortion with multiple stops from high speed. A firmer pedal due to stronger and stiffer components, as well as better modulation characteristics under threshold braking are also typical with a properly balanced brake upgrade. As a direct result their basic brake research StopTech has been granted 2 patents in basic brake technology and has 2 patents pending. StopTech is the only brake upgrade company offering balanced brake upgrades compatible with the stock OE rear brakes.     Caliper Bushing Upgrade Kit
    This kit will eliminate caliper twisting caused by rubber guide pin bushings. This kit, consisting of precision guide pins and machined brass guide bushings will allow your calipers to squeeze evenly on both sides of the brake rotor, just like expensive multi-piston big brake kits. This will result in much longer pad life and more consistent brake system feel. These are a must if you race your BMW. This kit is SCCA and BMW CCA Club Racing approved. This kit fits both the front or rear calipers (but sold per axle). The ideal set-up is to run both front and rear on your car. Installation is quite simple. Does not fit E30 318/325 with Girling calipers nor E24 M6/E28 M5.

    E46 M3 CSL Brake Upgrade Package
    The E46 M3 CSL Brake Upgrade - converts your 2001-2006 M3 (non Comp package) to the larger rotors from the CSL and M3 ZCP Comp package. This will DRAMATICALLY increase braking capabilities!
