Clutch Slave Cylinder - E36 M3, Z3/MZ3 (all), E60 (all), E39, X5 3.0i, Z8
Clutch pedal feeling stiff? Possible culprit may be your car's slave cylinder. The slave draws fluid from the brake reservoir and applies it to the clutch fork/throw-out bearing. A bad slave cylinder could leave you stranded. Also a must for when upgrading to an M3 flywheel/clutch assembly.

    E36 Delrin/Aluminum Differential Mounts (3-piece set)
    Made in the USATMS E36 solid differential bushings are designed around SCCA SPEED World Challenge regulations and have years of street and track testing to prove their performance. Replacing your diff's rubber mounts with this kit will result in a snappier feel when cornering and better suspension performance. This kit will also prevent the front differential mount from loosening up or shearing -- a very common problem with the E36. The rear two differential cover bushings are slotted to allow for compliance between manufacturing standards as BMW specifies.     E36 325i/328i/M3 Rogue Enginneering Differential Cover
    Cooling the oil in any track driven car is a must! Just ask any endurance racer. According to Rogue Enginneering, a 30-minute session on the track is enough for fluid to thin out and leak through the differential's vent hole. By expanding the size of the differential cover, Rogue has provided enough room for 1.5 more quarts of fluid (we recommend Redline 75/90 fluid). Combined with the fins on the bottom of the cover, your differential will be significantly cooler and thus, will last longer. BMW uses a very similar cover on the E39 M5, E46 M3, and M Coupe/Roadster. Includes Orginal diff cover mounts, 12.9 grade zinc-plated hardware, and a port for installing a temperature sensor.

    The stock differential of the non-M model E46 only puts power to one wheel -- this just won't cut it! Upgrading to a limited slip differential means power to BOTH wheels, for better lauch, acceleration, and track handling. Fits non-M E46 models, including 1999-2000 323i, 323Ci, 328i & 328Ci and 2001-2005 325i, 325ci, 330i & 330ci (not for 2.93 diff ratios). We're excited to be carrying the OS Giken LSD unit in our performance catalog, as we've used their products on our own Championship winning E46 race cars.

    OS Giken incorporated revolutionary new ideas when developing the their own limited slip diff, utilizing their accumulated racing knowledge and experience and over 4 years of development. Their design uses an unprecedented number of friction plates (up to 28 total!) for better locking force, better engagement/disengagement, and less generated heat. The end result of their efforts is the OS Giken's OS Super Lock LSD which offers incredible durability and reliability on street and track driven BMWs. The use of highest quality materials, precise machining, forged gears and sound engineering makes this LSD durable and reliable enough for road racing performance (which we can personally vouch for!).     Differential Cover Gasket - E46 ** DISCONTINUED (read info)
    This is the (now discontinued) differential cover gasket / diff seal for E46 3 series, 1999-2005. BMW has discontinued this part, and now recommends using RTV silicone for sealing the differential cover. We have found the RTV works better as well.

    E46 Small Differential Drive Shaft Spacer
    Made in the USAFor the American market, BMW supplied the E46 with one size for the differential, whereas in Europe there were two sizes (large and small, depending on the model). The American market got the large differential casing along with a driveshaft that cannot be interchanged with the small differential. Many racing teams prefer to use the small diff because of its lighter weight and greater selection of gear ratios. This poses a problem for racecars in the US market because not only did you have to buy a diff, you also had to buy the matching driveshaft (from the Euro 320i). Turner Motorsport ran into this scenario a lot during our World Challenge campaign and our solution was to machine an aluminum spacer to adapt the stock, large-style driveshaft to the small diff. We now offer this part for sale to other builders. Using this part will save time and money and keep the parts on the car standardized (no need to order a spare driveshaft from Europe.) This spacer is for a 4-bolt universal-joint style driveshaft and matching 4-bolt input differential flange only. This was found mostly on the early-E46 but at some point BMW switched over to a CV Joint style flange. We don’t know for sure when this was done so on car made 2001 or later, we suggest you check the rear flange. Neither of the differentials supplied in street BMWs had limited slip, but BMW Motorsport did make a racing limited slip unit using the small differential as a basis (it’s expensive which is why we came out with our own). At this point there are aftermarket limited slip differentials for both the small and large differentials (including the TMS LSD unit mentioned above). This driveshaft spacer will work with any of them installed in the small diff with the 4-bolt flange. Currently, this part only applies to 5-speed cars. It is not for a car with the 6-speed transmission.

    E46 M3 3.91 or 4.10 Ring & Pinion Gear Set (R&P only)
    Hands down - one of the best performance upgrades you can make to an E46 M3! With almost no downside you can make your M3 much quicker by swapping in a new ring & pinion gear set. The R&P acts as a torque multiplier, getting you into the power band quicker in each gear. There is an 8% increase in torque at the wheels with the shorter R&P.     We offer a wide variety of differential options for the 2001-2006 E46 M3, from a simple rebuild of your current factory M3 differential, to high end variable ramp limited slip options for the serious E46 M3 racer.

    How does this work? It's easy. We will build your custom differential, which will be shipped directly to you. Your new/rebuilt differential includes a $1,500 core charge. You can then send us your old/stock E46 M3 M Variable differential as a core for a full $1,500 credit. All custom diffs receive the same core charge. Cores must be sent to us within 15 days or receiving your rebuilt core. Sorry, no returns on custom built differentials.

    E46 M3 Outer CV Boot Housing Rebuild Kit
    Made in the USAOver the years driving and racing the E46 M3 in Grand-Am racing, club racing, driving school events, and street driving, we have found that the half-shafts need to be rebuilt or replaced often. This is especially true of the outer CV joint (closest to the wheel bearing) due to the high loads on the half shafts and elevated temperature in that region. Thanks to our extensive experience in Grand-Am endurance racing, we have designed a kit to prolong CV joint life and save frequent and costly replacing of half shafts, on both street and track/race cars. The problem with rebuilding E46 half-shafts is that the CV joint ("Constant Velocity Joint") closest to the wheel bearing is not serviceable because a stamped steel housing must be cut off to access the CV joint. The housing cannot be reused, therefore necessitating replacement of the whole half-shaft. We have designed a reusable aluminum housing to make servicing the CV joint possible.

    This is a custom Turner Motorsport item, originally designed for our championship-winning Grand-Am M3s. It can also be used in non-racing applications, for both track and street E46 M3s. If you are performing any work on the rear driveline of your E46 M3 (such as wheel bearings, differential work, bushings, rear sway bar, etc) or are prepping for the race season, then now is an excellent time to perform this job as well.

    Kit includes 2 CNC aluminum housings (left and right are the same) with Black anodized coating, 12 set-screws (6 per housing), 2 Viton O-rings, 8 Oetiker clamps, and 4 stainless steel breather tubes (only required for race use).

    E46 M3 Stock Differential Cover With Bushings
    BMW does not sell the differential mounts separate from the cover. And as with all rubber mounts, they will have to be replaced at some point, forcing you to also buy a new diff cover. This is an Original BMW part.
    **Note** - a paper gasket is not sold with this cover. BMW no longer uses paper gaskets - they advise the use of a silicone sealant such as RTV black.

    E46 M3, Z4 M Stock Front Differential Mount Bushing
    When working on the rear subframe, replacement of any rubber bushings and mounts should be performed. This is the front differential mount bushing and it takes the majority of the torquing motion of the diff when under load. The constant twisting will cause this bushing to wear out pretty fast.     3.64 Differential for E90/E92 325i 328i & 330i
    This is a complete differential to change the gearing of any E90/E92 3 series (except 335 and xi) to a 3.64 ratio final drive. This will improve acceleration on any 325i, 328i or 330i produced in 2006, 2007, 2008 or later. If you are looking for better off-the-line or rolling acceleration, and are willing to sacrifice a little top-speed (some of us don't get up to 150mph), this is one of the best ways to achieve marked improvement. There are few things that can improve your 0-to-60 and 0-to-100 times as much as shorter gearing, and this differential is clearly a best "bang-for-buck" solution for dramatically better acceleration.

    This differential does NOT fit 335 or all wheel drive models.

    Limited Slip Differential Unit for E90/E92 335i (LSD)
    Have you taken your 335i to the track yet? Have you turned off traction control and tried to launch your 335i? Imagine how fast your car would go 0-60mph if both wheels had power going to them! Its unbelievable that such a great performance car is lacking a limited slip -- perhaps BMW didn't want the 335i to be THAT much faster than the previous M3! BMW stopped putting limited slip differentials in all cars in 1995 (except for "M" cars). So, if it’s not an M3 or M5 your car does not have power going to BOTH wheels at the same time. In other words, it is "one wheel drive." This is not good for any type of performance car and if you have taken your car to the track or have auto crossed it you can see why.

    Video: LSD makes all the diff-erence
    Our limited slip unit for the 335i is a complete assembly (or "chunk") that replaces the "open" differential chunk currently in your diff. This an authentic German made Drexler brand clutch type limited slip (with 45/30 ramping). Drexler worked directly with BMW Motorsport to create this unit, and supplies to such as M-Team Schnitzer. The unit uses the factory bearings, fits into the factory differential housing, reuses the factory ring gear*** and all critical dimensions are close to the factory unit. This makes installation easier, requiring minimal ring and pinion setup time and shimming. Professional installation is recommended, however.

    We sell this part in a few different ways:
    1) As long as you don't have a welded-in ring gear, TMS can install this unit in your car's original differential - You send us your diff and we install the limited slip unit and send the diff back. Some cars are being built with welded ring gear rather than a bolted-together unit.

    2) We can send you a low mileage preowned diff with the limited slip installed - and we charge you a core charge. When you send us back your (non welded ring gear) stock diff we refund the core charge (currently $1600)

    *** Please note that on mid year production (mid-'07) 335i's, we have found that the ring and pinion is welded in place, and cannot be unbolted to re-use with our limited slip "chunk". On these 335i's you must buy our LSD unit already installed into a differential (option #2), as your existing diff is not elligible for option #1 .

    The Quaife torque biasing differential enables your car to accelerate quicker and corner faster. How? By getting the power to the ground! The Quaife Differential powers both drive wheels under nearly all conditions, instead of just one. With an ordinary open differential, standard on all MINI's, a lot of precious power is wasted during wheelspin under acceleration. This happens because the open differential shifts power to the wheel with less grip (along the path of least resistance). The Quaife, however, does just the opposite. It senses which wheel has the better grip, and biases the power to that wheel. It does this smoothly and constantly, and without ever completely removing power from the other wheel.

    Center Support Bearings
    Center Support Bearings
    A worn-out center support bearing can lead to some annoying side-effects. The driveshaft on BMWs is broken up into 2 sections. The center support bearing is where the 2 sections meet. It consists of a metal bearing in the middle that is surrounded by vibration-absorbing rubber. As the vehicle ages the rubber becomes weak and rips away from the bearing. The result is a vibration and a bad thumping or knocking sound.

    Flex Disks, a.k.a. Guibos
    The flex disc (aka: the guibo) is a vibration dampener mounted on the back of the transmission. The flex disc acts as a buffer between the transmission's output shaft and the driveshaft leading back to the car's differential. Visual inspection is the only way to tell if the disc is beginning to wear. Cars with worn discs will notice a harsh vibration when starting from a stop and the disc should be replaced (along with the center support bearing) ASAP.
