manufactured and supplied high quality lightweight aluminum flywheels to the
performance industry for over 25 years. JB is the original designer and
manufacturer of the BMW E36 aluminum flywheel. JB Racing is constantly expanding
their flywheel line to include the latest performance applications such as; Mini
Cooper and BMW E46 325/330, and Z4 utilizing the new 6-speed (SMG) transmission.
ALL of the current dual-mass replacement flywheels are designed to accommodate
most of the common sprung-hub clutch discs to minimize the gearbox “rattle.”
Sachs, S.P.E.C., Clutch Net, and others manufacture sprung-hub discs that will
clear in the center hub cavity of these flywheels.
All of their flywheels are designed, manufactured, and assembled in-house at
their Florida facility which allows to maintain stringent quality control.
You simply cannot buy a higher quality lightweight aluminum BMW flywheel… at
any price!
UUC Short Shift Kits
UUC designs and manufacturers their own precision-engineered shifter components and complete short shift kits. Hands-down, UUC stands above the rest with kits that are custom tailored to your specific BMW model. UUC short shift kits are constructed from 100% stainless steel and aluminum and feature a flex free lever – far superior than other kits that use a modified BMW shift lever. Long lasting materials are used throughout the rest of the kit as well. Each Evo 3 short shifter comes with a sealed bearing at the lower pivot point that eliminates friction. And Delrin shifter carrier bushings are available on most models to eliminate excess side-to-side movement of the shifter. Each UUC Evo short shift lever is height-adjustable from stock shift knob height to .75” lower for superior ergonomics.
DSSR - UUC Double Shear Selector Rod
Increase the precision and smoothness of ANY and ALL shifters -- stock or aftermarket! Whether you have a factory stock shifter or an aftermarket short shift kit, a UUC Dual Shear Selector Rod (DSSR) will dramatically improve it. This replaces the flimsy single-shear design of the stock selector rod, reducing lateral play or "slop" felt from left to right. This is a great upgrade to any short shifter, or for refreshing your stock shift linkage.

Center Support Bearings
A worn-out center support bearing can lead to some annoying side-effects. The driveshaft on BMWs is broken up into 2 sections. The center support bearing is where the 2 sections meet. It consists of a metal bearing in the middle that is surrounded by vibration-absorbing rubber. As the vehicle ages the rubber becomes weak and rips away from the bearing. The result is a vibration and a bad thumping or knocking sound.
Flex Disks, a.k.a. Guibos
The flex disc (aka: the guibo) is a vibration dampener mounted on the back of the transmission. The flex disc acts as a buffer between the transmission's output shaft and the driveshaft leading back to the car's differential. Visual inspection is the only way to tell if the disc is beginning to wear. Cars with worn discs will notice a harsh vibration when starting from a stop and the disc should be replaced (along with the center support bearing) ASAP.
