    The AeroCatch is available in two installation styles:

Others may advertise "their" crank pulley boasting higher numbers (using a smaller pulley profile), but we have concluded that for street and track driven M5 and M6, this is the best size and design to ensure proper engine temp and auxiliary functionality. As the S85 V10 engine doesn't use a traditional harmonic balancer, all factory harmonics and dampening are fully and properly retained. We've found this pulley alone adds 18 to 22 HP and 17 to 21 Ft/lbs Torque on a stock M5 or M6 with no other mods(!!).

    The stock M5/M6 has a front set of catalytic converters ("pre-cats") that are integrated into the "headers". These produce a large amount of restriction, robbing your V10 of precious torque. To counter-act this, our kit replaces these restrictive front cats with "straight pipes" and incorporates a pair of sport catalytic converters further down the exhaust pipe - which unleashes big horsepower. To make this all work, our Stage II software (a reflash of your engine computer) is included. In addition to adjusting the V10's fuel, spark, and vanos maps to take advantage of the freer-flowing manifolds and cats, it also removes the top speed limiter and disables the rear O2 sensors (for no Check Engine light). Look at the dyno chart - this kit offers +40lb/ft torque over stock and +25 more horsepower - AT THE WHEELS ! This is power you can feel in every gear.

    click to enlarge The gains from this kit, which we have personally dyno tested (see dyno chart) are just about equal to the gains we have seen on complete aftermarket header / sport cat systems that cost $11,500 (!!). This tells us that the BMW factory headers are efficient and the real bottleneck in the stock system is the pre-cats (which the aftermarket headers eliminate). As this kit requires welding of the straight pipes onto your stock headers, we suggest professional installation.

       Install Tips
    • Locate bung as close to engine a possible, without exceeding the maximum operating temperature for the O2 sensor. The suggested location is just down-stream of the merge-collector on each bank of cylinders.
    • Sensors located after upstream exhaust system leaks or too close to exhaust outlets are susceptible to poor readings or influence of ambient air
    • O2 Sensors exposed to exhaust gasses with too high amount of un-burnt fuel can lead to misleading readings. A possible lean reading.
    • Locate sensor/bung 90° to exhaust gas stream.
    • Locate sensor/bung in tube with a minimum of 10° up angel to prevent liquid build up in sensor element.
    • Use stainless steel welding wire or rod when installing bung.
    • Do not have bung plug or a oxygen sensor installed when welding bung in place.
    • Welding can distort the bung so it is recommended you chase/tap the threads of the bung after welding.
    • When installing O2 sensor or plug, use an O2 sensor compatible high temperature resistant grease on the threads.
    • Use tightening torque suggested by O2 senor manufacturer.

    		 No-Toil Foam Filter Oil (for ITG Filters)
    Don't use harsh solvents like gasoline to clean your ITG on your Eurosport/Conforti intake kit (or similar foam filter element). This product is all you need to maintain your ITG foam filter, and is recommend for use with all Conforti Cold-Air Intake Kits.

    When cleaning an ITG foam filter, ITG recommends using warm water and a mild detergent (simple dish soap is fine). Strong detergents and solvents can harm the foam, and cause the filter to break down. Once dirt, dust and debris are rinsed out of the filter, it should be re-oiled to ensure proper function of the filter. ITG recommends No-Toil filter oil, as it is safe to the foam filter media, and is completely waterproof. Drive with more peace of mind through heavy rain and puddles.

    The use of Original BMW Anti-Freeze/Coolant will ensure sufficient cooling in summer and protection against freeze-ups in winter. BMW Antifreeze/Coolant will also guard your vehicle's various engine components against corrosion.
