A fantastic upgrade package for the 1995-1999 E36 M3 3.0 or 3.2 with OBD-I! This special package combines some of our most popular upgrades for a lot of horsepower and less money!!!     Oil Pressure Switch (fits most BMWs)
    Having your oil pressure light come on can mean very serious problems. Or it could just be this switch that fails several times over a car's lifespan. By no means should you ignore the warning light but replacing this sensor could be the actual culprit. The other problem with this switch is that oil can leak past its seal. With the oil under a lot of pressure at this point, the oil loss can be a serious concern. It's a simple replacement when doing most oil change work.

    M52/S52 Camshaft Reference Sensor
    This is a common failure item which can cause a check engine light, and rough engine running on the M52/S52 engines (328, M3, 528 thru 98, Z3 2.8, & M Roadster/Coupe thru 2000). If you have received an engine fault code suggesting "cam shaft reference sensor" or similar, this is most likely the cuprit. Once replaced, you will need to clear the fault code. We recommend replacing the camshaft sensor o-ring at the same time.

    This sensor is used on 1996-1998 328i, 1996-1999 328is, 1996-1999 M3, 1997-1999 528i, and 1997-1998 Z3 2.8 liter.

    Exhuast Camshaft Position Sensor - E46 M3, MZ3, Z4 M
    Sensor for: Exhaust. One weak point on BMW engines for years has been the camshaft reference sensor. On the S54 engine in the E46 M3, M Roadster, and Z4M, there is one sensor for each cam. The sensor tells the computer the position of the cam on cylinder #1. The computer relies on the sensor's information to set injection timing and VANOS control. When a sensor goes bad, the computer loses track of what position the cam is in. While the engine will continue to run (taking its measurements from the crank position sensor), the entire system is thrown off. The engine may stumble or run rough, but not misfire, and there will be a loss of performance.

    Each cam sensor also doubles as a sensor for the VANOS. So when the sensor goes bad, the VANOS will revert to a safe mode and will not advance.

    While the engine will still run with a faulty cam position sensor, it's not running in its finest tune. The DME will have fault codes related to the cam sensor or for the VANOS. This is the Original BMW sensor with a new o-ring.

    Crank Sensor Adaptor - S54 Sensor into N52 Engine
    Allows the use of a factory S54 crank reference sensor on an N52 based engine. We use this sensor when running non-factory engine management (such as Bosch or MoTeC) on our E90 racecars. This is designed specifically for our E90 328i Grand Am Cup legal racecar with Bosch Motorsport engine management.

    The N52 engine crank sensor is a Hall effect type sensor and the S54 engine crank sensor is an inductive (Mag) type sensor. The advantages to using an inductive type sensor are:
    • Inductive sensor has no active electronics and thus does not require a power supply to operate, making the sensor more reliable.
    • Will hold up to higher operating temperatures better than a Hall effect type sensor, making the sensor more reliable.
    • Will withstand higher vibration levels then a Hall effect type sensor, making the sensor more reliable.
    • There are still a lot of aftermarket ECU’s that cannot operate a Hall effect type sensor, making the use of a Inductive sensor mandatory.
    • A plus to running the S54 crank sensor (BMW P/N 12 14 7 830 789) is that it has been around for a long time and most aftermarket ECU manufacturers will all ready know the correct operating parameters for the sensor, saving you time and frustration.

    TMS Oil Temperature Sensor Flange
    The TMS Oil Temperature Sensor Flange was designed to get your oil temperature from the best possible location: the sump. There are adapters used to fit temperature sensors on engines in many locations, and both the TMS Engineering department and testing on and off the track have shown that this is the best solution. We accomplish this by removing the factory oil level sensor if equipped or block off plate and using the existing hole and bolt pattern on the oil pan with no modifications. Most factory and aftermarket temperature sensors are located after the oil pump, which does not give you an accurate temperature reading of the oil that is actually lubricating the engine. At the stock location the sensor picks up heat not only from the oil stream, but also from the oil pump and housing which will skew the reading. By relocating the sensor it also reduces clutter and sits flush against the bottom of the oil pan to avoid potential clearance issues. Any sensor with an M12 x 1.50mm thread can be used.

    These are the Original BMW oil lines / tubing / hoses to connect the Euro M3 oil cooler to the Euro oil filter housing. These hoses can be used on any E36 6 cylinder (325i, 325is, 323is, 328i, 328is, and M3) to add the European oil cooler.     E36 6 Cylinder Oil Cooler Kit - Stage 2 (Uses Euro Oil Cooler)
    The TMS Stage 2 Oil Cooler Kit takes the benefits of the factory oil cooler and housing in Stage 1 and adds the TMS-exclusive HTP oil lines. This makes it possible to use the factory oil cooler with a supercharger or a racing alternator pulley. This is possible because the oil lines are routed away from the front of the alternator and alternator pulley. The TMS Stage 2 Oil Cooler Kit uses mostly factory BMW parts to maintain the same clean appearance and performance you would expect if it was installed by the factory. The HTP lines (High Temperature Polymer Braided) oil lines are better than a rubber or stainless steel line. They are non-abrasive, unlike stainless lines, so they won’t cut into power steering or coolant hoses. Our Kit works on all US-spec 6-cylinder E36 BMWs and the MZ3 Roadster/Coupe with the S52 engine. All components included with the TMS Stage 2 Oil Cooler Kit bolt or clip into place with only a slight modification to the alternator cooling tube (only required on particular models). By providing essential hardware with this kit the final result is a hassle-free installation for you, making this an ideal kit for a street/track car. This kit can be fitted to any US spec 6 cylinder E36 BMW, including M3, 325i, 325is, 328i, 328is, and 323is (sedan, coupe and convertible).

    This is the same oil cooler that came on the European model M3. With the proper parts, this oil cooler can be fitted to your US spec M3, 325i, 325is, 328i, 328is, or 323is VERY easily. Please note, this item is the oil cooler itself and does not include brackets, lines, or the modified oil filter housing required to install this part on a US spec E36.

    To retrofit this oil cooler on a US spec E36 6 cylinder, you will also need our TMS Euro Oil Cooler Bracket kit, the euro oil cooler hoses / lines, and the modified oil filter housing (which has been modified to accept the fittings of the euro oil cooler lines).     E36 M3 Euro Oil Filter Housing - Modified by TMS for use on US cars
    The Euro filter housing has ports for the delivery and return lines of the oil cooler found on the European spec M3. And the internal pathways of the filter housing are designed for the oil to flow out of the housing, into the cooler, and then back to the housing to pass through the filter. Also the Euro housing has an integrated thermostat to bypass the cooler at lower temps (who needs cold oil when the engine is cold?). The US housing is not setup for any of this as the oil just runs straight into the filter and onto the engine. For these reasons, the European E36 M3 coil filter housing is ideal for just about ANY oil cooler application. This is the same housing as used in our Stage I, Stage II, and Stage III oil cooler kits.

    What does TMS do to the E36 M3 Euro Oil Filter housing?
    The Euro E36 M3 cars use a different VANOS system and the VANOS oil line is a different size. The banjo bolt on the US car is M14x1.5 thread and the housing is drilled and tapped using a jig on a machine – not by hand – so the outside surface of the flange is smooth and flat to prevent leaks. This allows this filter housing to be used on US spec M3's, as well as any non-M E36 6 cylinder BMW.

The TMS oil cooler lines now sit safely away from any moving parts like pulleys and serpentine belts. Our lines are made from HTP (High Temperature Polymer Braided), a synthetic line with multiple advantages over rubber or stainless lines.

    E36/E46 Oil Cooler Fitting Kit
    The TMS Oil Cooler Fitting kit allows much more flexibility in the routing of oil cooler lines. Standard oil coolers utilize “hard lines” which can cause fitment issues for cars with superchargers or other aftermarket performance parts. Our kit replaces the oil cooler hard lines with two TMS engineered -10 AN fittings, a bracket, and O-rings. Flexible braided hoses can then be run to the oil cooler adding many options for routing and provide more room in the engine compartment. The brackets and fittings are CNC machined stainless steel.     Engine Fan - 11 Blades, 420mm - Many 6 Cylinders
    This fan is driven by the serpentine belt, engaged by the fan clutch. If you have bad motor mounts, it's quite common for the blades of this fan to make contact with the radiator or radiator shroud, essentially self-destructing the fan into many peices. Be sure to get a new fan clutch, while you are replacing this.

    ARP Steel Block Head Stud Kit for M50/M52 & S50/S52 (US Spec)
    Virtually every top professional BMW engine builder relies on ARP Pro Series head studs. ARP uses a premium grade 8740 alloy that is rated far superior to "aircraft" quality. Each stud is heat-treated to 200,000 psi, ensuring complete heat penetration. ARP studs are threaded after heat-treat, which gives them 1000% (that's ten times!) better fatigue strength than studs threaded prior to heat-treat. Threading the studs after heat-treating is more difficult and costly (as it's harder on tooling) but the results are well worth the effort. These simply are the best head studs we've found for the E36 6 cylinder engines, and we highly recommend them in both the racing and forced induction arena. (Due to the additional clamping force between the head and block, these are IDEAL for turbo charging and supercharging!)

    Converting from the factory BMW head bolts to head studs makes it much easier to assemble an engine, especially a racing powerplant which must be serviced frequently (and quickly!), and also ensures proper alignment of the head and gasket. Head studs also provide more accurate and consistent torque loading. Here's why: When you use bolts to secure the head, the fastener is actually being "twisted" while it's being torqued to the proper reading. Accordingly, the bolt is reacting to two different forces simultaneously. A head stud should be installed in a "relaxed" mode -- never crank it in tightly using a jammed nut. If everything is right, the stud should be installed finger tight. Then, when applying torque to the nut, the stud will stretch only on the vertical axis. An information sheet is provided with each set. Kit includes everything pictured -- 14 head bolts, washers, bolts and assembly lubricant.

    Fuel Pump Upgrade for 95-99 E36 3 Series
    In our years campaigning the E36 chassis in World Challenge, and working on various other street and club racing cars we found the later built E36 cars are much more prone to fuel starvation then the cars manufactured before January, 1995. This is caused by a less efficient siphon pick up tube in the driver’s side sending unit. During hard cornering this will cause the car to temporarily run out of fuel which can cause engine damage or cause the car to become unsettled at an inopportune time. With the later fuel pump sending units you can start having fuel starvation as early as 3/8 of a tank of gas where with the earlier sending units this condition does not start to occur until below ¼ tank. This kit is a great inexpensive way to get more fuel out of your tank. For endurance racing there are other more expensive ways to get all the fuel out of your tank, but for driver schools or sprint races this is the way to go. In the four years that Turner Motorsport ran the E36 in SCCA Touring car this is the fuel pump setup that was used and there was never any fuel starvation problem after this conversion.

    **This kit is for 01/1995 and later E36 6 cylinder. We recommend checking your production date / fuel pump to be sure you don't already have this fuel pump in your car. If you have the later (01/1995 and newer) style pump, then you will want (need!) this kit.     Active Autowerke Secondary Air Pump Simulator for M52/S52 Engines
    All OBD2 E36 3 series 6 cylinder engines (M52 2.8 liter and S52 3.2 liter) came with an auxiliary air pump for emissions. If your E36 for is for track/ racing, or using forced induction, there are many reasons to eliminate this pump. This module allows you to remove the pump with no engine fault codes or check engine light. It does this by electronically simulating the inputs and outputs of the air pump, so that your E36 BMW's DME (engine control unit) does not even realize the pump has been removed.     The TMS Water Temp Sensor Wiring Adaptor is needed when you are upgrading to OBD-I (1992-1995 components) on a 3.2 or 2.8 liter engine. These earlier engines use two separate water temp sensors in the head, one for the ECU and one for the instrument cluster. This screw valve, located on the exhaust side of the engine block, has a steel o-ring that becomes flat over time, allowing oil to leak around it and down the back of your engine, transmission, undertray, and eventually to your driveway. If you see an oil leak around your transmission and think it's the rear main seal or from the oil pan, try replacing this first. Replacement is the only remedy as the washer on the screw has deformed in shape. The constant pressure valve helps to keep oil up in the cylinder head so you want a direct replacement part - not an aftermarket 'solution'. This is an Original BMW part. One required.

    Bosch 42lb Fuel Injector - Green Top (Bosch # 0-280-150-558)
    These fuel injectors, Bosch part# 0 280 150 558, are very popular in many forced induction setups, as they flow enough fuel to prevent detonation at high rpm, and maintain adequate fueling. To use these on a BMW, you must have specialized tuning, as these provide far too much fuel with a stock or naturally aspirated setup. These injectors are often referred to as the "green top" injectors, which originally came on the Ford Mustang Cobra (often referred to as the Ford Racing EV1 Style fuel injector or M-9593-F302 ). They are rated at 42# / 42 pounds @ 2.7 BAR. In a BMW, which has a 3.5 BAR system, they provide approximately 47 PSI. These are sold individually, so be sure to order enough for your needs.

    Bosch 24 lb Fuel Injector - Blue Top (Bosch # 0-280-150-947)
    The 24 LB Bosch blue-top injector is used in many high performance vehicles which require a good amount of fuel. This fuel injector is most commonly used on Ford Mustangs, and other domestic V8's, which require a healthy amount of fuel. This is a genuine Bosch fuel injector, Bosch part number 0-280-150-947 / Ford Motorsport part # F1TE-D5A. Sold individually, so be sure to order enough for your application.

    We use this particular Bosch injector on modified E36 M3 BMWs, which require more fuel to balance the air/fuel ratio after adding modifications such as cold air intake, cams, headers, etc. During our own testing we found the stock BMW injectors reach their limits with only a few modifications (intake, HFM, and basic chip). Anything more than these basic upgrades and you will need larger injectors.     E46 M3 Fuel Pump
    A fuel pump failure in the E46M3 can cause lack of power and a low-RPM stumble. Its a fairly common problem, the problem fades away as the revs build and the engine warms up. It's especially noticeable in the Winter and when the outside temperature is low. While a number of things can cause this, the fuel pump is a likely source. The pump is easy to change by accessing the top of the fuel tank under the backseat. This is a new factory BMW fuel pump.

    ARP Main Stud Kit for M50/M52 and S50/S52 (US)
    This ARP main stud set for the 24 valves M50-based 6 cylinder engines (including M50, M52, S50US and S52US) and eliminates main cap walk and fretting, as well as protects the threads in your engine block. Each stud is made using the best materials, process, design and engineering, which exceeds even the most stringent racing and aerospace specifications. This main stud kit includes hardened parallel-ground washers and aerospace quality nuts. Replaces BMW part numbers 11-11-1-713-525 (11111713525) and 11-11-2-244-286 (11112244286).

    The studs are manufactured from 8740 chrome moly steel, heat-treated in-house to 190,000 psi tensile strength, and precision J-form threads rolled after heat-treat to create a fastener that has threads 1000% stronger than others. On the E30 M3, there's no reason to settle for anything less than the best, which is why we carry and use ARP fasteners and studs on our own BMW race cars.

    ARP Connecting Rod Bolt Kit - E36 M3 S50/S52 (US only), E46 323/325 and more (see list)
    Set of 12 ProSeries connecting rod bolts, made by ARP -- the world leader in fastener technology. Each bolt is made of ARP2000 material, which exceeds the strength of 8740 Chrome Moly, and is able to achieve clamp load at 220,000psi. ARP2000 fasteners are used widely in motorsport and drag racing as an upgrade from 8740 Chrome Moly in both steel and aluminum rods. These are simply the best connecting rod bolts available, making them ideal for ultra high performance, racing and forced induction applications.

    This set replaces the factory BMW rod bolt number 11-24-1-739-728 (11241739728) which measures 44mm in length. The 44mm BMW rod bolt was used on all US spec E36 M3 (3.0 and 3.2 liter), 1999-2000 E46 323i/323Ci, 2001-2005 325i/325Ci, Z3 1.9,2.5 and 3.2, as well as Z4 2.5. It was also used on SOME of the M50 2.5 liter engines from 1992-1995 -- but check before ordering! Opened ARP bolt kits are not returnable. If your M50 2.5 liter engine has 53mm rod bolts, you will require kit part# 201-6301 instead.

    S54 3.4 Liter Engine Stroker Kit for E46 M3 & MZ4
    Our 3.4 M3 Stroker kit is made up from the same components that have won numerous Grand Am GT endurance races, and the same exact parts that PTG used in their S54 GrandAm cars. Available for “street” (standard compression) or “race” (high compression) our kits have been designed for maximum torque without sacrificing reliability. Expect MINIMUM gains of +25lb/ft torque from 2,000 rpm to redline with a MINIMUM horsepower gain of 15+ HP at 8000 rpm. This additional torque is exactly what the S54 needs for better drivability both on the street and at the track. Our kit is a great solution for M3 owners who have spun their rod bearings and need to purchase a new crank and rods anyway. We can also build your bottom end with this kit for an additional $1,750. Send us your bottom end (Short Block) we will disassemble, clean , inspect all parts, line hone block, surface deck of block, bore / hone cylinders, file fit rings, set rod bearing clearance, set main bearing clearance, assemble short block, create engine, for shipping.

    This kit includes parts needed to convert a stock 3.2 liter S54 engine out to a stroked 3.4 liters. The parts list is as follows:

       • Forged CP Pistons (either 11.5:1 or 12.75:1)

During hard cornering/long sweeping corners the engine oil moves up the sides of the oil pan causing oil starvation!     TMS E36/Z3 6cyl Oil Pan Baffle Kit (welding required)
    Through experimentation and data acquired from our E36 World Challenge Touring Cars, it was discovered that in long corners and under heavy braking that there was an oil starvation problem in the M50 and M52 engines. This system was developed to keep oil in the sump and eliminate the starvation problem. After several iterations, further testing and data acquisition in the Touring Cars showed that this system eliminates the problem of oil starvation. This is a less expensive alternative to replacing the stock oil pan with the factory BMW M3 Lightweight oil pan, while still achieving the similar results. *Requires Professional Welding

    M54 BMW Motorsport Racing Oil Pan Baffle / Pump Impeller Kit
    This Genuine BMW Motorsport oil pan baffle kit is designed for use on all M54 dual vanos engines. Once installed, this kit makes your oil pan completely baffled to prevent oil starvation. The kit also includes parts to address a common issue that can cause the oil pump shaft to shear off (this spells certain doom, when it happens!). Turner Motorsport has used this kit on all of our World Challenge and GrandAm 325 and 330 race cars. We're happy to report that since using the BMW Motorsport oil pan baffle/impeller upgrade, we have had 0 (zero!) oil related engine failures -- in over 100 races(!)
