TURNER MOTORSPORT BUILDING MOMENTUM FOR MAY
Laguna Begins May's Demanding Schedule

LAGUNA SECA RACEWAY, Monterey, CA - May 2, 2006 - The Turner Motorsport BMW team takes to the track this weekend at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, California. Turner Motorsport’s three cars and six drivers are all in the top ten in points with the #97 H&R Springs/Under Armour BMW M3 leading the Grand Am Cup Grand Sport class Team Standings.

Following the first two rounds of the season at Daytona International Speedway and at Virginia International Raceway, the two Turner Motorsport BMW M3s in the Grand Sport class are in first and fifth place in the Team Standings. In the #97 M3, Anders Hainer and Boris Said have scored a seventh and a fifth place in the opening two rounds – giving them a lot of confidence heading into their home race at Laguna Seca.

Bill Auberlen and Chris Gleason pilot the #96 H&R Springs/StopTech Brakes BMW M3. They are in fifth place in the GS class Team Standings and showing a lot of promise for the upcoming California event. The #96 M3 finished second at the season-opener at Daytona and led the race at Virginia until a gamble on rain tires dropped them from the top finishing spot.

In the Street Tuner (ST) class, Will Turner and Don Salama improved on their position in the ST Team Standings after finishing on the podium at Daytona and nearly scoring a second podium in Virginia.

Will Turner, Team Owner and pilot, #95 H&R Springs/Turner Motorsport BMW 330i:
“The real season begins now. We did very well at Daytona but got unlucky at Virginia with the weather. We’re entering a schedule now of three Grand Am races in four weeks so a lot is going to happen between now and the end of May. I think this is where the Turner Motorsport team will outshine the competition. In situations like this the skill and effort of the team can mean more than the drivers or cars. We’ve only done two races so far this year but in four weeks the season will be half over.”

In addition to Turner Motorsport Inc, H&R Springs, StopTech Brakes, and Under Amour – B&M Racing, Borla Exhaust, Pagid, Motul, and Piloti Driving Shoes are on board to assist the team for the season. Products from each of these companies are proudly used on the TMS racecars and have been proven winners in years past.

The Laguna Seca round of the Grand Am Cup Championship will be part of the U.S. Sports Car Invitational with the Rolex Sports Car Series. The 200-mile race will be on Saturday, starting at 2:45pm (PT). The SPEED Channel will first broadcast this race on Saturday, May 13 at 1:00pm (ET).

This weekend marks the start of an intense four weeks of racing for Turner Motorsport. In addition to the three Grand Am Cup events (Laguna Seca, Phoenix, and Lime Rock Park, CT), the team is putting together an entry for the SPEED World Challenge race at Mid Ohio on May 19. And Will Turner will be competing in two SCCA T2 races at New Hampshire International Speedway and at Nelson Ledges in Ohio in a Turner Motorsport/TOYO Tires BMW M3.
