Most of our Performance Chips have been developed by Bosch Motronic tuning expert Jim Conforti, with a few custom-tuned by TMS on our in-house Dynapack chassis dyno. They provide the ultimate in performance! Adding a performance chip to your car is the easiest, most cost effective way of increasing your BMWs performance with NO downsides. TMS performance chips are supplied with detailed instructions and are user installed in about an hour. The performance chip optimizes ignition timing and fuel curves which results in increased horsepower and torque. We have dyno tested these chips and compared it to all the others and found it to provide the most horsepower and usable torque. Must use 91 octane or higher gasoline. All chips are warranted for as long as you own your BMW and also come with a 30 day performance guarantee; if for any reason you are not fully satisfied with the increase in power and overall driveability you can return the chip to TMS for a full refund. Turner Motorsport (TMS) Chip Trade-in Policy: TMS chips are upgradeable to custom versions for free for the first six months.  After six months, the upgrade fee is $100, applicable for custom chips that are equal or less in value of the original purchase price of the chip being traded in. The upgrade program only applies to the original purchaser of the chip and only applies if the upgrades you are installing were purchased from TMS. If the parts that require a custom chip are sourced elsewhere other than TMS, the upgrade program does not apply.

 M6, M5 (E24 E28) 		1987-1989 When the first M5 and M6 were brought to the U.S. they were de-tuned from their European brothers and sisters. That was a shame as the cars lost close to 40hp. But adding a TMS Performance Chip will get that lost horsepower back! Jim Conforti tuned these chips on the dyno to boost mid range torque and increase horsepower in the upper RPM range. As a result there is a 48 horsepower increase at 6000 RPM with a new rev limit of 7200 RPM! Conforti achieved this by tuning the car on the dyno, specifically changing the fuel and spark patterns in an effort to make the engine more efficient when burning 91+ octane fuel. Torque increases similarly in the heart of the powerband. There are NO downsides to installing a TMS Performance Chip; simply put, it is easy-to-install horsepower.

larger 		E28 535i Turner Motorsport Conforti Performance Chip
 535i (E28) 		1985-1988 The 3.5 inline-6 is a torquey car, however, it could be a little more powerful in the upper RPM range. With a TMS Performance Chip power is boosted at all RPM with a huge 29ft-lbs of torque gain at only 2000 RPM. This chip was tuned on the dyno to yield as much performance from this engine as possible and still maintain its strength and durability. Jim Conforti tuned the fuel and spark maps to take advantage of 91 octane gasoline. By making the engine more efficient with this fuel, gains in horsepower and torque are achieved as well as making the engine run smoother.

The 2.7 liter inline-6 is a torquey car, however, performance drops off greatly after 4000 RPM. With a TMS Performance Chip power is boosted at all RPM but most importantly in the upper RPM. The car really feels more alive! This chip was tuned on the dyno to yield as much performance from this engine as possible and still maintain its strength and durability. Jim Conforti tuned the fuel and spark maps to take advantage of 91 octane gasoline. By making the engine more efficient with this fuel, gains in horsepower and torque are achieved as well as making the engine run smoother.
NOTE: your car may have a replacement DME ending in 021. Our chips will work in this replacement computer as long as the existing chip is not soldered.
