Description:  Description: Supersprint Inc. was formed in 1955 with the objective of designing and building the highest quality exhaust systems in the world. That objective has been the driving force behind each Supersprint product from the first system built to those being developed for the future. When you purchase a Supersprint product you can be assured it is the highest quality available. All design is validated by extensive testing which includes hours of dyno testing on Supersprint's exclusive in-house Maha 4-wheel chassis dynamometer. When compared to a domestic stainless system, the Supersprint Stainless system showed a 30% flow improvement over the Factory M3 system. To protect against corrosion each non-stainless system receives an aluminized coating inside and out. All internal tubing, resonators and tail pipes are stainless steel. Packing material is longstrand stainless steel wool and rockwool. TÜV Approved.

Experience the latest design innovation from Supersprint for the E46 M3 -- 'stepped' design headers. While the technology has been in widespread use in Formula 1 for awhile, this is the first application of a stepped design on the E46 M3. In an engine that is tuned as much as the S54, airflow management is critical in getting big horsepower numbers from the exhaust. The Supersprint design is the next step in innovation in header design. By slightly increasing the size of the pipe diameters as the exhaust system moves away from the engine, the exhaust can flow more air. Supersprint's design is tuned specifically for the S54 engine which is important in making more power without losing low-end torque. The headers merge into a precision-fit merge collector and then exhaust  gases flow into the oversized S-pipe. Our most-popular package is for the stepped headers with no cats (straight pipe) but cats are available for people who want to keep their cars somewhat streetable. Total horsepower gain with the complete system over a US M3 would be more than 30hp.

We also recommend using this system on the M3 with special software. The Shark Injector software has been specifically designed for cars running headers but no cats. The software "turns down" the readings from the rear O2 sensors and modifies the tolerances for the EGT sensor. Using an exhaust without the cats and proper software will surely cause a Check Engine Light. Click here for more info on the software.

2006-- These headers are handcrafted in Italy by Supersprint and are beautiful as well as functional. The stock M5/M6 header system is pretty good as far as BMW systems go... but Supersprint has improved on the design with mandrel-bent tubing (not crushed tubing like the stock system), full stainless-steel construction, and a bolt-on installation (the engine does not require removal). Each tube is mounted to the exhaust ports with the correct-sized flanges. The tubes are as close to equal length as possible and merge together in Supersprint's precision collector.
Dyno Chart

These headers can then be bolted to the rest of the factory exhaust or installed with Supersprint high-flow catalytic converters. Dyno testing has shown repeated gains of over 60hp with the complete system. You can choose to buy only the Supersprint headers to bolt to the stock secondary cats or high-flow Supersprint secondary cats are an option.

Removal of the factory headers and installation of the Supersprint headers can be done with the engine in the car - the engine does not need to be removed at any time. Also, there is no cutting, welding, or fabricating required. These will bolt to existing flanges or piping. However, because the process involves the removal of several critical systems and components to gain access to the engine (the external oil pumps of the dry-sump oiling system, for instance) the installation of these headers should only be done by a shop familiar with installations of intricate header systems.

Because of the time that Supersprint's engineers dedicate to building these headers, they will be in very short supply, ensuring its exclusivity as the finest aftermarket headers available for the M5/M6 in the world.

2007-- The Supersprint 'Race' rear muffler system is one step beyond the standard Sport mufflers. Don't be fooled by the name - the 'Race' mufflers are designed for street use and the name only distinguishes it from the standard Sport system. With the stock system the sound is very subdued. With the 'Race' mufflers the sound is much more noticeable and more aggressive - a perfect sound to compliment the assertive nature of an M6. You will hear this exhaust but it will not be intrusive or sound out of place on a civilized sports/GT car like the M6. The Supersprint center pipes to delete the rear resonators are a welcome addition.

2007-- Supersprint has designed their new Sport mufflers to be just a little more throaty than stock. If you think you're stock exhaust is just too quiet this would be a great upgrade. A small increase in horsepower is an added bonus. To further tune the exhaust sound and increase volume, add the Supersprint center pipe to delete the rear resonator.

2007-- This turbo down pipe for the 135i and 335i is manufactured from 304 stainless steel using all mandrel bent tubing and each pipe is 65mm in diameter resulting in ultra low backpressure, assuring instant turbo spool up for maximum torques and horsepower gains for your 135i or 335i. The results of installing a complete turbo to tail pipe Supersprint system are a phenomenal 26 hp with a torque gain over 20 lb/ft.

The stock down pipes cause a major restriction in the exhaust flow. BMW's solution to deal with the limited space in the engine compartment is to crush the turbo outlet tubes to reduce the size of the tubing. Doing this created undesirable backpressure. For emission purposes the factory also incorporated built-in pre-cats directly after the turbo outlet ports. This make the exhaust gas backpressure rise to extremely high levels at all rpm and engine loads. This design retains excessive heat in the engine and affects performance in a negative way. The design of the Supersprint down pipes takes advantage of even the smallest space available and frees the exhaust gas flow dramatically. The SS pipe cross section (no crushed pipe) remains constant all along the down pipes and the pre-cats are totally eliminated.


This downpipe fits the E82 135i, and all E90/E92/E93 335i coupe, sedan and convertibles, as produced in 2007, 2008, 2009 and newer.

2007-- This Supersprint exhaust system will open up the breathing on your 335i for a big increase in power and a sportier sound. The exhaust system on this car is one of the key areas to tune to increase power. Removing the restriction of the stock exhaust opens up the air passages and allows the turbos to spool faster. Not that the stock engine is slow off the line – but the Supersprint system adds 30-40ft-lbs of torque below 4500 rpm when used with the downpipes and sport cats! And the sport mufflers add a beautiful throaty purr to the exhaust that you’ll love with every blip or smash of the throttle. Choose from two tip styles: single 90mm tip per side or dual 80mm tips on each side. This system comes with oversized piping for maximum flow from the secondary cat-back (center crossover pipes included, deletes the rear resonators).

As an option, you can choose to delete the front catalytic converters and replace the secondaries with high-flow units (includes a new turbo downpipe). This adds the most power/torque because it opens up the exhaust and only uses cats in the mid-section. By deleting the front cat, underhood temperature is also reduced.
