aFe Magnum FORCE Stage 1 Cold Air Intake System. This intake kit replaces your restrictive factory air box. It features a black composite/molded tube, 16-gauge powder-coated steel heat shield, trim sealed to seal out hot engine air, and a custom aFe brand cotton filter.

aFe has reported gains of up to 25 hp and 25 lb/ft of torque when used on an M3. For maximum benefit, we recommend upgrading your engine software -- a Conforti chip for 1992-1995 or Shark Injector software for 1996-1999 cars.

This aFe intake kit fits all 1992-1999 E36 chassis 3 series 6 cylinder, including:
1992-1995 - BMW 325i, 325is & M3 3.0 liter
1996-1998 - BMW 328i, 328is, 323is and M3 3.2 liter.
1999-1999 - BMW 328is, 323is, and M3 3.2 liter
This kit was specifically designed for use on cars with the stock US headlights.
It is a very tight fit on cars with the Euro type headlights and some modifications may be required.

This version used aFe's highest flowing filter media, which uses a lightly oil gauze to filter out dirt and particulates, while allowing more air to flow to the intake. For the best flowing filter, with the best performance gain, we always recommend this standard aFe filter media (often called "Pro5R ", which has a blue pre-oiled filter media). We also carry this filter in the "ProDry" grey filter media, which is oil-free for only slightly less performance and no maintenance.
