Maxiumum Flow Pro5R Filter

Increase your M3's intake flow by 24%, for a gain of 8.8 horsepower and 10 lb/ft of torque to the wheels, by upgrading your E46 M3's stock paper intake filter with an aFe High Performance airfilter and the Dynamic Air Scoops (D.A.S.) which install behind the front grills of your M3 to direct more cool air to the intake. The air scoops are a direct fit for the E46 M3, installs simply and easily using common tools (instruction included), and maintains the stock air box for a "stealth" install. Both the air scoops and the filter work in tandem; The high efficiency aFe air filter reduces restriction through the filter, while the Dynamic Air Scoops direct more of the fresh/cool air coming into the nose grills into the intake. More cool air, less restriction, and more precious power.

This kit includes 1 stock-replacement air filter element, 1 - dynamic air scoop, as well as filter restore kit for cleaning and reconditioning the re-useable filter element (a $12.49 value!).

2001-2007 E46 M3

This version uses aFe's highest flowing filter media, which uses a lightly oil gauze to filter out dirt and particulates, while allowing more air to flow to the intake. For the best flowing filter, with the best performance gain, we always recommend this standard aFe filter media (often called "Pro5R ", which has a blue pre-oiled filter media). We also carry this filter in the "ProDry" grey filter media, which is oil-free for only slightly less performance and no maintenance.
