E30 Turner Motorsport Stock-Class Racing Suspension - (NO LONGER AVAILABLE)
The unbeatable J-Stock Suspension from years past will make an excellent track suspension for almost any E30 track car! Our "J-Stock" suspension is built around a set of very stiff progressive rate springs, special Bilstein shocks, maximum front camber, and stiff sway bars. This suspension has been used and refined over the last 15+ years on Club Racing J-Stock and K-Stock racecars and can also be applied for use at driver's schools, open track/time trials, circuit racing, and autocross.
At the heart of this suspension is a set of Turner/H&R springs with a working spring rate of up to 680lbs in front and 1026lbs in the rear. These are super-stiff springs to control body movement and maintain a tight roll-free handling over a variety of track surfaces. That was one of the keys to making these cars fast is being able to handle bumpy North American tracks (especially in the Northeast). That's where our special Bilstein shocks come in. These are not ordinary Bilstein Sports. They have been completely re-engineered for stiffness and rate, as well as travel and fitment. The rears are upside down to reduce un-sprung weight and make the rear suspension more efficient. Suspension Techniques sway bars (22mm front, 19mm adjustable rear) complete the basic suspension spec.
For camber, we set this up with BMW offset front upper strut mounts with fixed camber plates to maximize the available camber using these springs (per the original J-Stock rules, adjustable camber plates were not allowed). This allows a very balanced handling setup with just a hint of understeer (it's faster this way). We can also swap in adjustable Vorshlag or KMAC front camber plates in place of the fixed mounts. Rear shock mounts come with the kit. Choose from standard urethane or monoball free-motion mounts.
Completing the J-Stock Package are a set of E30 chassis reinforcements for the M3 front strut housings, front subframe, and upper and lower sway bar mounts.
