    Metal Masters or Ultimates?
Our answer to this question actually depends on what you’re using the car for.

Normal street driving and commuting Metal Masters
Hard on the brakes, late braking, but everyday driving Metal Masters
Very aggressive braking, hard on the brakes, getting into the ABS, but still everyday driving (no track-use) Ultimates
Mountain/canyon roads, autocross, road rally Ultimates

    Axxis/PBR Metal Master pads
What we would recommend for a no-compromises street pad.

    • nearly dust free

    • quiet

    • better stopping ability than factory OEM pads

    • user-friendly

    • all weather, all temperature performance

    • long life for pads and rotors*

    • inexpensive

    Axxis/PBR Ultimate pads
Recommended by us if you want a little more stopping power than the Metal Masters.

    • spirited street use

    • light brake dust (more than Metal Masters but not as much as OEM)

    • some noise compared to Metal Masters - way less than race pads

    • all weather performance

    • low and medium temperature performance (they hold up well even when “thrashed”)

    • long life for pads and rotors*

    • inexpensive

    * = these pads are not track pads and will likely experience fade, chunking, vibration, and pad deposits when driven under track conditions. They might be fine for a novice or beginner but should not be used by drivers in a higher run group.

Is it Axxis or PBR?   They are actually one in the same. Both brands are made by the same company, FMP Group in Australia.
