Turner BMW M3 to Shake Streets of Boston Thursday May 19

Amesbury, MA (May 13, 2011) - Feel the city of Boston shake May 19th when Turner Motorsport teams with fellow Grand-Am racecars and hits the city streets to raise money for children’s charities. This exciting event takes place just a week prior to the Memorial Day Classic race at Lime Rock Park. The parade starts at 3PM. Our Turner BMW M3 and other racecars will be touring the streets of Boston, ending at The Back Bay Hotel where a cocktail party will be held from 3:30-6:30pm.

Guardian Angel Motorsports, a non-profit for children’s charities, will host the event along with Turner Motorsport and fellow racers Whelen Engineering, APR Motorsport and 3D Autoworks. Our mission? To raise money for the Starlight Children's Foundation, a non-profit who has helped children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses and life-altering injuries for the past 25 years.

"This is more than just a parade," said Turner Motorsport President Will Turner. "Last year we had a police escort who set a 'brisk' pace that allowed us to let the engines really ROAR in places. Real race cars, unleashed on historic Boston streets like Newbury Street and Storrow Drive. It just doesn't get better than that."

The Parade
There will be 4 official viewing stations along the route where you can watch the cars and get some schwag from Turner Motorsport. Make sure to take plenty of photos and submit them to our Facebook page!

Don’t just watch the racecars, ride in one. Guardian Angel Motorsports is auctioning two seats for those who want to be in a racecar during the parade. For a modest donation, you can get behind the wheel and compete in a virtual race in the computer-simulator called iRacing, the same simulator the pros train with. Compete against the pro-drivers at the historic Lime Rock Park track where these very drivers and cars will race just 10 days later! This is limited to 50 donors. You will receive a special schwag bag and early entry to the cocktail reception at The Back Bay Hotel in The Living Room for a meet and greet with some of the Grand-Am drivers.
