Designed with longevity in mind, these kits will provide years of trouble-free service, provided the vehicle is properly driven and maintained. 

Currently, this kit currently holds the N54 single turbo HP record at 889hp.  It comes complete with all necessary hardware to install, listed below.  DocRace selected Precision turbos because they are leaders in the industry for offering top performing products that are reliable so you can make phenomenal power and not have to service the turbo for years to come.  You can choose from your choice of a 6266 up to a 6870 with maximum horsepower ratings from 800hp up to 1100hp. 

Included is a T4 twin scroll manifold which is the heart of this turbo kit.  Beautifully constructed with meticulous care, this design was torture tested in extreme conditions before even being bolted on the test vehicle. Sitting on top of the manifold is your choice of Precision ball bearing or journal bearing turbocharger. Standard journal bearings perform flawlessly; however, a ball bearing turbo will spool several hundred RPM sooner and run slightly cooler. The boost is then fed to the intercooler and then into the engine through single 2.5" aluminum charge pipes. The downpipe is made of 3" stainless tubing in two pieces which is V-Band and connects to your factory or any aftermarket exhaust that accepts factory gaskets. To control all of this, boost is regulated by a pair of Tial MVS wastegates which are mounted down low and out of the way of heat. These can be accessed easily without taking out any hot exhaust parts which can come in handy if you ever need to change wastegate springs while the car is on the dyno or after hard runs. With this setup, it would be possible to produce well beyond 1000hp with a properly supported build...for anyone looking to really push the limits of this platform.

* Although the upper limits of factory N54 fuel injectors have not been found, OE injectors will SAFELY support upwards of 550hp.  It is advised to use an aftermarket port injection system when going beyond that level such as a Fuel-It system or AD-Engineering port injection kit.

Top mount manifold with T4 twin scroll flange - 335i with N54 engine

This is an example of an extremely well thought out and executed design. This tubular manifold will allow you to mount a single T4 turbocharger in the top of your engine bay. The placement of the turbo in this location aids in cooling, protects the turbo from damage and allows it to get a more direct cold air charge. Additionally, being mounted on the top allows for a simplified tubing run from turbo to intercooler.

The fit and finish of this piece can only be described as stellar. This isn't some cheap log manifold; this is a beautifully crafted piece of art. The welds quality is flawless and uniform, nowhere on the entire piece do you see buildup or splatter. The bends are smooth and transition effortlessly into the collectors and then into the turbine flange. The S54 T4 Tubular bottom-mount turbo manifold is a mid-mount design that places the turbocharger strategically in the E46 engine compartment. This is also an upgrade to your current Horsepower Freaks bottom-mount Turbo-kit. Limitations exist within the cast bottom-mount and plate manifolds, this tubular version will aid in spooling and carry your turbochargers abilities throughout the entire RPM range.

DocRace Intake Manifold - 335i/135i with N54

 Two major hurdles preventing large numbers in our platform are fueling and the plastic box BMW decided to use for an intake manifold.  Doc Race wanted to address both with one solution. As fabricators they knew this was an easy fix for themselves, but what about everyone else?    After countless hours of R&D, testing, dyno time and general obsession, they decided on a design and started the ball moving forward to mass production. This was built by and for the true BMW Enthusiast!

The Original Design and Prototype was tested back to back on the same car against the Factory BMW Intake Manifold.  The car tested was a single turbo 6466, stock head and block.  

On just 18lbs of Boost, they were able to add 23hp and 16ft/lbs of torque peak gains! Doc Race expects numbers these to grow much higher as boost is increased and with the right tune. You can run extremely high boost, like over 50psi HIGH!!!
