BMW Turner Motorsport Racing Suspension Kits Turner Motorsport got its start at BMW CCA and SCCA track events in the early 1990s. It was Will Turner's Club Racing championships that promoted the company as a leader in BMW performance tuning and motorsports. Suspension tuning was one of the things that cemented our repuation as BMW tuning professionals. Since our early years we have developed total package suspension upgrades that make the most of available technology and development. Our packages come from our racing programs over the years - E30 J-Stock, E36 ITS/World Challenge, E46 World Challenge/Grand-Am, and E9X M3 Grand-Am. In addition to complete packages we also over select individual components from our pro racing team. These are the same parts as used on our Touring Car and Grand Sport racing efforts with years of on-track developemt by our drivers - Bill Auberlen, Boris Said, Joey Hand, and Billy Johnson, among others. Our race wins and championships are testaments to the engineering and design put into every Turner racing part we offer.

E46 M3 Turner Motorsport Front/Rear 30/25 Sway Bar Upgrade As Used on Project E46 M3
The Turner Motorsport sway bar / swaybars for the E46 M3 were designed to provide better overall balance and performance than the stock anti-roll bars. With these bars you can greatly reduce bodyroll and decrease the understeering effects of a staggered wheel setup. They are adjustable in the front (3-position) and the rear (2-position) to fine tune the handling for both the street and the track. The Turner bars are sized at 30mm in the front and 25mm in the rear (+4 and +3.5mm from stock, respectively). We supply them with a urethane bushing with a reinforced inner core that requires no lubrication or maintenance so you won?t have to put up with annoying squeaks and annual greasing work. These bars are crafted from a special spring steel that is both stronger and more resilient than competitive sway bars. They have been shot peened and heat treated, and feature precision forged ends. We feel that these are the best bars on the market for the E46 M3 - we have used these on our race-winning M3s in the Koni Challenge and SCCA T2 classes.

Fitment
These bars fit in the stock locations using the original brackets and links. Our bar has been designed to use the stock M3 front sway bar links. Adjustable links are not required but recommended if the car is lowered or if you have coil overs. The rear hardware has been upgraded in our kit to a M10 sized bolt and it can be a little tricky to install on the factory end link. Contact us if you would like to have new links included with the hardware pre-installed. To avoid pre-loading the bar, it is best to leave one side un-done until the car is lowered to the ground. Never connect both links to the same bar with the car off the ground.

Do I need adjustable sway bar links?
The adjustable sway bar links ensure that there is no pre-load on the bar and that the bar has the correct clearance to other suspension components. Pre-load is when the bar is slightly stressed when it's on the car. If you have to force the links to fit the bar because it has tension then you have pre-load. Adjustable links fix all of that because you can then shorten or lengthen the link to match the installation of the bar. If you have coil overs or the car is very low, you should definitely have the adjustable links because these conditions may contribute to the pre-load situation. Adjustable front or rear links can be added from the options listed below.

Setup
The bars are adjustable so any driver can find an ideal setup for the type of driving they are doing. The sway bar becomes stiffer in the holes furthest from the end of the bar. The holes at the very end of the bar are the softest setting. We would generally recommend starting out with the front bar set to the stiffer setting and the rear bar positioned in the soft setting. Adjust to your liking from there.

Spec E46 Complete Racing Coil Over Set

With decent power, strong brakes, and a great chassis the E46 330 has all of the attributes of a serious track machine. The Spec E46 series takes a balanced and capable platform into serious competition. The SE46 suspension with the MCS shocks and Turner solid mounts and bushings takes the chassis from dual purpose track day toy to a serious weapons-grade racer. We can take the guesswork and run-around out of your Spec E46 build with this complete coil over kit. We include everything you need to get the SE46 shocks and springs into your car. This suspension kit has been assembled and designed by the same racers that worked on our race-winning E36 and E46 World Challenge teams (and winning multiple championships) so even though these parts will be in a new spec series they have already been proven in touring car competition for years. The basis of the SE46 suspension is the Motion Control adjustable struts and shocks and Hypercoil springs. Hyperco 2.25" springs
Hyperco springs are the only springs allowed in Spec E46. The 2.25" I.D. is an odd size for BMW applications (most are 60mm) but they are available in the length and rate that the organizers wanted. The Hyperco spring set includes two front (#186A0750) and two rear (#185A0850).

Front Camber Plates
Turner Motorsport. Our own camber plate design is borrowed from the M3. It features separate camber and caster adjustment (extra caster settings), a heavy-duty oversized center bearing, correct bushings for the SE46 MCS struts, 2.25" hardware, and an oversized camber plate body that spreads suspension loads across the strut tower (no strut reinforcement needed).

Rear Shock Mounts
Our rear shock mount design includes a monoball bearing for complete freedom of movement. The solid bearing allows the shock shaft to pivot and move freely. A urethane or neoprene design will prevent the shaft from moving much which puts more side loading and stress on the shaft (leading to shock failure). Included in our Kit are the shock mount reinforcements, 10mm shaft bushings, hardware, and shock tower gaskets. We also include an extra set of bushings so you can space the shock mount where it works best (spacers on the top for more shock travel; spacers on the bottom for more suspension droop).

Rear Height Adjusters
These are a top-mount rear spring seat with over an inch of height adjustment. The aluminum collar works with multiple spring sizes and is easily adjusted with the wheel off ( you don't have to crawl under the car). The top mount also means nothing is sticking through the control arm and touching the axles. Light weight and simple! Note: we have seen a few different thicknesses of paint on the Hyperco springs. You may need to rub some paint off for better clearance or flip the spring over.

Wrenches
Special pin wrenches are included to adjust the collars on the MCS struts and Bilstein rear ride height adjusters.

E9X M3 Turner Motorsport Racing Blade-Style Front Sway Bar Kit

Racers no longer have to struggle with sourcing the ultimate M3 front sway bar - this is it. The infinitely adjustable finishing touch to a highly advanced racing suspension package.

Throughout our years of racing the E92 M3 we have experimented with many different suspension configurations. All this development has allowed us to design and manufacture exactly what the E9X M3 needs for a front sway bar. Our blade type infinitely adjustable bar is intended for track / race cars with a dry-sump oiling system. It will not fit street cars due to interference between the bar and the bottom of the stock oil pan (dry sump systems allow a much thinner oil pan).

This bar is 1.25"x.95" diameter steel tube with a minimum of bends and adjustable blade-style ends. It is very rigid yet tuned perfectly to work with the rest of our suspension. The bar is solidly mounted using aluminum blocks with a rubber isolating liner. The front subframe/engine cradle must be modified for use with these brackets to allow the bar to clear other suspension components. You can modify your existing subframe or purchase one of our pre-modified pieces and exchange your original ($627.07 core charge applies). Our modified subframes also include reinforcing gusseting for the lower control arm mounts and other tricks from our racing department.

For those unfamiliar with blade-style bars, the angle and orientation of the blade determines its torsional resistance. The flatter and more perpendicular to the road the more it will flex. Turning the blade on its side will make it more resitant to twisting and bending. This is the setup our own race team specified after years of racing - and winning - with the E92 M3 with driver feedback from Bill Auberlen, Joey Hand, and Boris Said.

E9X M3 Modified Subframe For Use With Turner Racing Front Sway Bar

Fitment of the ultimate M3 front sway bar (the Turner Motorsport Racing-Blade Style, that is) requires modifications to be made to the front subframe for proper clearance. We've taken half of the effort out by offering a modified subframe for ease of installation. By utilizing this subframe in concert with our racing sway bar kit and a dry sump oiling system, your track or race car is a step closer to a dialed-in front end.

Turner Monoball Upper Rear Shock Mounts - Race - F22 F30

Want the ultimate design in a rear shock tower mount? You've found it. These rear shock mounts are designed for use on the track and racing. This set of mounts will help your rear shocks perform the best they can in those conditions. The advantage to using a mount with spherical bearing is that it allows the shock to freely move off axis without side loading the shock shaft like rubber or polyurethane mounts do. Side loading a shock increases friction and wear which decreases its efficiency. Because these are mounts without an isolator (rubber or polyurethane) to dampen road noise and vibrations we do not recommend them for street cars. These were designed in-house and developed based on our years of experience racing (and repairing) BMWs.

We use the 30mm M3 front bar combined with the 21mm E46 non-M rear bar. From our time racing the E46 in World Challenge, Grand-Am, and SCCA club racing we found that the E46 likes a stiffer sway bar and less spring rate. Taking the M3 front bar, which is solid, is exactly what we wanted. They are adjustable in the front (3-position) and the rear (2-position) to fine tune the handling.     Rear Shock Mount Spacer Block - 30MM - Single

    We developed these rear shock mount spacer blocks as a way of correcting the suspension travel on the rear shocks of E30, E36, Z3, E46, and Z4 race cars. In some racing classes, it's necessary to not lower the suspension in order to meet the ride height requirements of that class. This means that your racing shocks may not be in their optimal range of travel and the shock will not allow enough droop in the suspension. As the inside tire lifts and the suspension droops, the shock becomes fully extended and actually "tops out" of its available travel. With the tire in the air your suspension, brakes, and differential cannot maximize adhesion to the race track, resulting in a large loss of lap time. These spacer blocks fit between the shock mount and the underside of the shock tower, pushing the shock down 30mm and restoring shock travel. 

    *Installation is simple but may require different hardware then provided. Because of the very large number of shock mounts and shock mount designs on the market we cannot provide hardware that will work in every application.*

    We developed these rear shock mount spacer blocks as a way of correcting the suspension travel on the rear shocks of E30, E36, Z3, E46, and Z4 race cars. In some racing classes, it's necessary to not lower the suspension in order to meet the ride height requirements of that class. This means that your racing shocks may not be in their optimal range of travel and the shock will not allow enough droop in the suspension. As the inside tire lifts and the suspension droops, the shock becomes fully extended and actually "tops out" of its available travel. With the tire in the air your suspension, brakes, and differential cannot maximize adhesion to the race track, resulting in a large loss of lap time. These spacer blocks fit between the shock mount and the underside of the shock tower, pushing the shock down 20mm and restoring shock travel.
