Amesbury, MA – July 21st, 2015 – The Turner Motorsport GTD program is set to resume racing action for the sixth round of the Tudor United Sportscar Championship at the team’s “home track”, Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, CT. The blue and yellow No. 97 GTD class BMW Z4 is set to make its first appearance on the 1.50-mile, seven-turn road racing center of the Northeast for the two-hour and forty-minute Northeast Grand Prix.

The Tudor Championship Northeast Grand Prix will mark the return of the GT class to Lime Rock Park for the first time since 2013, adding to the weekend’s “homecoming” spirit.

In preparation for the return to Lime Rock Park, the team tested the No. 97 BMW Z4 last month anticipating tough competition within the 11-car GTD field on the relatively short and tight circuit.

Season regular driver Michael Marsal will be joined by Turner veteran Dane Cameron. Cameron, the 2014 GTD Driver Champion, will be subbing in for Markus Palttala. Palttala is set to compete in the 24 hours of Spa with the European Marc VDS endurance racing team.

Cameron reunites with Turner for the first time since clinching the 2014 GTD Championship at Petit Le Man last October in the inaugural Tudor United Sportscar Championship season.

“I’m really looking forward to it. Lime Rock has always been strong for BMW in general. It’s the home race for Turner Motorsport and home for Marsal as well. It’s going be a big weekend for Turner in front of the home crowd so it will be an exciting race for me,” said Dane Cameron.

Currently, after the first five rounds of the 2015 Tudor Championship season, the No. 97 of Marsal sits eighth in points, just eight points behind seventh and thirteen out of the top five.

Turner success at Lime Rock has been consistent with recent class wins in ’06, ’09, ’10 and a second place podium finish by Michael Marsal in 2011.

“We have had a lot of great racing at Lime Rock Park over the years so I am anticipating more of the same from this weekend,” said Michael Marsal. “ Lime Rock is just a ton of fun to race and after testing, I am confident that our IHG Rewards Club BMW will be competitive. I am looking forward to teaming up with Dane (Cameron) and bringing home some hardware in front of my home crowd!”

“I love coming back to Lime Rock, we always have so much home town support,” explained Will Turner. “It’s great to see friends, family and customers come out to the race to cheer on our cars so I hope Michael and Dane can put on a good show.”

Tudor Championship on track action kicks off on Friday, July 24th with practice and afternoon qualifying. Be sure to tune into to watch LIVE coverage of both qualifying and the race. LIVE race coverage will begin at 3:15pm ET on Saturday. The race will also be re-broadcast on Fox Sports 1 on Sunday, July 26th at 5:00pm ET.

The No. 97 IHG Rewards Club BMW will have an on board camera which can be seen LIVE throughout the race. Stay tuned to find out more about where and how to watch.

In addition to the on track action at Lime Rock this weekend, Turner Motorsport will host the Austin Hatcher Foundation Charity Auction at the Team Transporter inside Big Bend at 12:45pm, Saturday, July 25th.
