Drivetrain Mounts and Upgrades for BMW 5 Series E28 (1982-1988)

Clear BMW chassis

From the factory, engine and transmission mounts are rubber and thus a wear component. Worn out engine or transmission mounts create sloppiness and a disconnect between the driver and your BMW's powerplant. If your vehicle is purpose built for the track, we recommend solid engine and transmission mounts. These have zero deflection, but come at the expense of added NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness). Poly engine and transmission mounts offer a good balance between OEM rubber and solid mounts for those with mixed purpose vehicles, offering great performance and connection with little sacrifice in terms of NVH.

These trans mounts fit almost all BMW cars excluding the E30 M3 and a few older models. They commonly fit the E30, E36, E46, E9x, E8x, F3x, F8x, E21, E34, E39. Common BMW part numbers that these trans mounts replace are: 22316799331 22322282340 23711175939 23711175424 23701141614 22316796619 22312284819 Revshift polyurethane transmission mounts are made in the U.S.A. from high-grade polyurethane. Revshift mounts are the most durable and reliable mounts on the market. CNC machined billet aluminum flanged ends are embedded deep in the urethane which prevents the isolated ends from separating under extreme loads. Utilizing class 14.9 alloy steel removable screws these mounts will hold your transmission in place for a lifetime. To further ensure the strength of these mounts we form the threads with a forming tap which creates denser and stronger threads in the billet aluminum ends pieces. These mounts have removable screws for ease of installation. We recommend using Loctite on the threads during installation. Condor Speed Shop took the hard work out of removing and reinstalling your differential! If you've ever taken out your diff, you know how much of a pain it is to get the bolt holes to line up during re-installation. They never seem to line up perfectly, and getting the bolts to go in can be time-consuming. Condor's diff studs are designed to make your life a little easier. The diff will line up and lift right into the holes every time. 38mm studs are used with OEM or regular subframe bushings. 45mm studs are used with the 12mm riser subframe bushings. You'll need to pull the driveshaft to drop the diff. Use thread locker during install. Recommended for street or race use. Kit includes: 4 Studs 4 Washers 4 Lock Nuts
