Timing issues can be detrimental to the longevity of your BMW. If you're getting high in mileage or suspect a timing issue, it's likely time for a timing service. We have everything you need from tensioners to guides here at Turner Motorsport.
The timing chain tensioner from the 1995 E36 M3 is a great upgrade for other Motorsport models - 1988-1991 E30 M3 and 1989-1995 E34 M5! This tensioner virtually eliminates the cold start-up engine rattle so common with the S14 and S38 engines. It makes the whole engine quieter and smoother. Any new tensioner will accomplish that but the S50 tensioner has several new features that make it superior to the original design. This unit also has a internally loaded spring, so installation is much easier than the old style tensioner (no need to squeeze the spring and hold it while installing). Includes oil seal ring (not pictured).
