Aside from the obvious safety considerations with a seat, there are few upgrades that can have more of an impact in your driving experience. Sport or Race seats envelope and grip the driver's body, holding him/her in place even under extreme driving situations. Racing and aftermarket seats require a mount to afix the seat to the chassis of the car. Most Recaro seats are 'side-mount' which means the brackets attach to the side of the seat and then turn 90 degrees to mount to the floor (or sliders). These are genuine Recaro side mounts that are FIA-certified for optimum safety and security. Many racing organizations require an FIA-approved mount. Sold as a pair with hardware included. Choose from standard steel or light weigt aluminum. Choose from Steel or aluminum above. We recommend aluminum to those who are trying to save weight in their build.

High quality steel constructed seat bracket made right here in the USA! ​The Planted Seat Bracket is a vehicle specific bracket used as an adapter between the floor of the vehicle and an aftermarket seat and it's accessories. Because the floor of each vehicle varies and typically is not flat, a vehicle specific Seat Bracket is required for installing an aftermarket seat. Planted creates each seat bracket using the floor of the vehicle as a reference. Each vehicle is brought into our development center so we can create the best fitting, bolt in, universal seat bracket possible. Planted Seat Brackets are laser cut from 3/16 inch thick steel and hand welded to ensure weld penetration for superior strength. Each bracket is pre-slotted with hole patterns to accept sliders from most major seat manufacturers like Braum, Bride*, Cipher Auto, Cobra**, Corbeau, Momo, NRG, OMP, Racetech, Recaro, Sabelt, Sparco, Status Racing, Takata and more. There is extra space on the bracket for drilling your own hole pattern if using a slider with a less common hole pattern, or direct mounting a seat or side mount when eliminating sliders is preferred. They are finished with a black powder coat. *Bride sliders are generally made to be vehicle specific so need to have the "feet" removed to make them "universal." Bride sliders typically require drilling a new hole pattern into the Planted Seat Bracket because they come in many different widths. **Cobra sliders come in Narrow and Wide versions. The Wide version will require elongating one hole on each slider by 1/8 Inch. The Narrow version requires no modification. The Recaro Flexible Adaptor seat mounts are the most robust and stout slider mounts we have seen. The Flexible Adapter mounts are a reinforced side mount + slider assembly intended for pro endurance racing. These are the first FIA-certified seat sliders. They have extra reinforcing braces on the front and rear which takes away a lot of the lateral motion from traditional un-reinforced side mount brackets. As racecars see more lateral loading from high downforce and stickier tires the seat naturally wants to flex even more. This extra strength seat slider/mount combination is just the thing to keep you planted in place. Even the slider hand bar is overbuilt and bright red for to grab your attention. These have been designed by Recaro specifically for endurance races where driver changes need to be done in seconds.

This slider + mount system only works with the Recaro Pro Racer SPA/SPG seats. Choose from the standard size or XL version.

Many racing series and event organizers are requiring 5 or 6-point harnesses in their events now. Attaching the anchor points to the seat base is a desired alternative to drilling holes in your floor and carpet*. This set includes the 6-point anchor to attach to the Macht Schnell floor mount as well as side attachments for either a bolt-in or snap-in harness.

* - note that most racing harness manufacturers will advise that drilling through the floor is the best method for mounting harnesses. This allows you to locate the mount in the ideal location and angle to fit your driving position. The proper installation is paramount to ensure the harness works correctly in an impact.

Easily the single best way to improve the feel of your interior is to replace the factory seats with something new and improved. Factory seats were designed to accommodate a vast array of driver sizes and preferences. As such, they tend to be comfortable and fairly unsupportive during spirited driving. While it is true that M models generally come with some of the nicest seats available to man, the same is not true of the rest of the fleet. The Ergomed ES delivers in the feature department and provides amenities generally reserved for high-end luxury seats. Superior ergonomics make this seat extremely comfortable no matter how long the drive. The backrest allows the spine to lay in a natural position that alleviates tension on the vertebrae. Back and shoulder bolsters ensure that your body stays centered properly in the seat and thigh bolsters and extensions keep your lower half planted and tension-free. All of this means your body will feel refreshed and relaxed every time you step out of the car, even after a long journey. This seat is AGR recommended and certified seat. Certified by the Association Forum for Healthy Back and Better Living and the Federal Association of German Spinal Schools. This seat is completely power adjustable from the thigh extension and bolsters to the back bolsters and lumbar support. A manual seatback lever makes folding the seat forward extremely easy in coupe vehicles.
