These are Gargistic's original poly rear subframe bushings and are modified replacements that will not only reduce play in the rear suspension components substantially compared to the old and mushy OEM rubber bushings, but the "raised" design will move the subframe up 12mm to help correct some of the unwanted camber and toe that comes from lowering an E30. This has a similar effect to raising the suspension so the rear geometry resembles that of a stock height E30. The 12mm raised bushing's average geometry correction (camber and toe) is from -5 degrees to -1.5 degrees depending on your suspension setup. These bushings are slightly stiffer than the OEM units which will cause a tiny bit more NVH to be transferred through the chassis, but the benefits greatly outweigh the small sacrifice in comfort. 80A is the softest poly bushing in Garagistic's lineup and are perfect for a street performance E30 that will see the occasional autocross or track day. We highly recommend professional installation as these will require a press to install as well as remove your old bushings NOTE: When installing Garagistic raised subframe bushings, the differential mount will no longer line up with the mounting provision on the chassis, but there are a couple of solutions for this! The first option is to install extended studs and spacers onto the differential. This will effectively space the differential back down 12mm from the raised subframe back into the factory position. This will allow the use of a standard centered differential bushing and maintains the factory driveline geometry. The second option is to simply run an offset differential bushing. This will allow the differential to be mounted to the subframe in the factory orientation and the repositioned hole in the differential bushing to line up with the factory bracket. This will change the driveline geometry in the rear! Garagistic have used both methods with success on street and track applications. A BMWs sub-frame is the heart of the suspension - as the subframe twists and shifts under load, all of the suspension mounting points also move. The rear suspension feels loose and lacks precision. As rubber or hydroelastic bushings wear, the bushing deflection gets worse. If you have a track driven BMW, you're putting even more strain on weak bushings. The solution is a stiffer and more durable material. Even BMW has moved to solid mounts on the modern F10 M5 and F8X M3/M4. These fully solid 318ti/Z3 aluminum mounts have zero deflection - the subframe does not move at all. The rest of the suspension can work as designed and maintain the proper alignment and motion ratios. The driver will notice the difference as the car is more stable and the handling is more precise. Although we designed these for use in our racecars, they can work on the street so long as the driver can tolerate some additional noise, vibration, and harshness. These mounts are CNC machined in the USA and made with high-grade aluminum.
