On direct injected BMW powerplants, maintaining a perfect seal at the injector tip is absolutely critical to preventing leaks, cylinder pressure loss, and misfires. Whenever injectors are removed, the Teflon sealing rings must be replaced. Removing the old, hardened seals without damaging the injector itself requires the right tool.
