This oil pipe hose runs from the VAN0S adjusting unit to the oil filter housing. At some point the rubber line shrinks or cracks and oil can weep out of the swedge fittings. The fittings at the banjo bolts can also leak so replacing the seals for each banjo fitting is strongly recommended.

Having your oil pressure light come on can mean very serious problems. Or it could just be this switch that fails several times over a car's lifespan. By no means should you ignore the warning light but replacing this sensor could be the actual culprit. The other problem with this switch is that oil can leak past its seal. This is the updated hose that goes from the Crankcase Oil Separator Valve to the oil dipstick tube. This tube tends to get plugged with oil sludge and becomes brittle and cracks.
