Arc Terminator now offers upgraded EKMP3 Fuel Pump Control Modules featuring a 22 Amp INCREASE in maximum current capacity over an OEM EKPM3. This allows for more current to be supplied to your low-pressure fuel pump (LPFP) without risking thermal overload, which often leads to your car shutting down. This means that you won't have to worry about being stranded on the side of the road while waiting for your EKP module to cool down, especially when you've installed a large low-pressure fuel pump such as a Walbro 525lph. How does the integrated automatic cooling work? The integrated automatic cooling works by us installing a thermal activation switch directly onto the new half bridge IC. When the half bridge IC reaches 50°C, the 40mm fan will turn on and keep running until the IC is below 50°C or until the EKMP3 stops receiving power. I have an EKPM2, can I upgrade to this? Yes. You can upgrade to this. We recommend using the HW05 and below module. You will need to code it in order for it to function properly. Can I run more than 1 low-pressure fuel pump off of this module? No. We do not recommend that you use more than one low-pressure fuel pump with any EKP module due to the factory wiring supplying power to the EKP Module is only 12 gauge, which is not rated for the type of power demands that two low-pressure fuel pumps would require.

The full plug-and-play EKPM3 / EKPM2 cooler kit is designed specifically for E60 BMWs using an EKPM3 or EKPM2 fuel pump control module. This is recommended for anyone using a low-pressure fuel pump that is larger than the OEM fuel pump. There are two versions of the kit, one with a relay and one without a relay. The relay kit is for those who would prefer to not put an additional load on their 12v outlet circuit due to using that circuit for something with a high load already. The non-relay kit will work perfectly for any normal use of the 12v outlet circuit and only adds up to 0.30 amps onto that circuit, which is very minimal. For all M5s, you will need to use an EKPM2 kit as the EKP module is physically the same size as an EKPM2. Full Kit Contents: 1x PNP EKPM3 / EKPM2 Cooler Housing With 5015 Fan and Fused Relay 1x 14x14x6mm Heatsink With Thermal Tape 1x 14x9x5mm Heatsink With Thermal Tape 1x 9x9x5mm Heatsink With Thermal Tape (EKPM3 Kit) 2x 9x9x5mm Heatsink With Thermal Tape (EKPM2 Kit) 4x 4" Zip Ties 1x Alcohol Wipe 2x 2 Amp Standard Blade Fuses Why this kit exists: The EKPM3 and EKPM2 have been shown to overheat and cause vehicle shutdown issues when larger fuel pumps that draw more current than OEM are used. This shutdown comes from critical components on the EKPM3 and EKPM2 overheating when larger current draws are coming from the fuel pump. The PNP kit comes with heatsinks for the most heat-sensitive and heat-producing components in the EKPM3 / EKPM2 to further increase cooling effectiveness. When paired with a potent 5015 blower fan that directs a large amount of airflow through the cooler housing, the EKPM3 / EKPM2 stays significantly cooler, which prolongs the life of the module. We also recommend anyone using a larger fuel pump than OEM to properly code their EKP module with Pro-Tool's built-in "Voltage Fix" feature.
