This is an OEM INA Idler Pulley, also known as the roller pulley or deflection pulley. The idler pulley is known to be the primary sources for 'belt squealing'. The pulley is also encased in rubber which will crack over time. If left without service the rubber could fail completely, chucking the belt and leaving you stranded. Replacement is a very simple procedure and can be done anytime the fan is off the engine (belt replacement, water pump service, alternator replacement, etc).

BMW Automatic Transmission Service Kit - Level 2 - Lifeguard 6 is a comprehensive service solution that includes everything needed to effectively maintain and service your BMW's transmission using high-quality ZF components and fluid. While BMW suggests that the ZF transmission utilizes a lifetime fluid, it’s important to understand that “lifetime” refers to the warranty, not the transmission's operational lifespan. Over time, the fluid degrades, becoming less effective at transferring heat and lubricating internal components. This degradation can lead to premature wear, resulting in louder operation, harder shifts, and potentially severe internal damage.
ZF recommends service intervals of 50,000 miles or 8 years—whichever comes first—for 6HP transmissions. By using OEM ZF components in this kit, BMW owners can ensure that only the highest quality factory parts and fluids are used, keeping the transmission running smoothly for years to come.
This is an OEM INA mechanical tensioner for the serpentine belt. This tensioner keeps the belt for the Air Conditioning taught to provide maximum performance of each system.

This is an OEM INA Water Pump Belt Tensioner. It provides pressure to the Water Pump/Alternator Belt to assure maximum performance out of the water pump and alternator and prevent the belt from slipping causing reduced cooling and lower charge output from the alternator.
