BMW fuel pumps run at a very high pressure in order to properly supply the injectors with fuel. A failed pump will allow the car to crank, but wont kick over. Turner Motorsports carries Genuine BMW pumps that will have you back on the road in no time.
Fuel pumps unfortunately tend to go without warning, and when they do its always seems to be when you least expected it and in the most inconvenient places. If your vehicle is of higher mileage, ECS Tuning recommends replacing the fuel pump right away (typically around 80,000 or so), before the fuel pump fails and your left stranded on the side of the road.

This screw ring tightens down to hold the top of the fuel pump and can be easily damaged if not removed with the proper tools. Replace yours to ensure your fuel pump is securely mounted and sealed to the fuel tank.
