2 securing bolts for crank seal guard - Torque value of 20Nm

You will find either 6 or 8 E10 bolts are holding the harmonic balancer depending on the engine.

E10 (P#11237564511)
N52: 6 bolts - Torque value of 25nm
N54: 6 bolts - Torque value of 35nm
N55: 8 bolts - Torque value of 35nm

E10 (P#11237575488)
S55: 8 Bolts - Torque value of 35nm

Hydraulic Belt Tensioner for E9x M3 with S65 engine and E60 M5, E63 M6 with S85 engine. This oil-filled tensioner keeps the main drive belt in the proper tension. Over time, the seals wear, allowing fluid to leak out and the tensioner then becomes frozen or inoperable. Replacement is the best corrective action to take. Every time the cylinders fire, torque is transferred into the crankshaft. The crankshaft deflects under this torque, which sets up vibrations when the torque is released.
