Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This, in turn, reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence. OEM rubber sway bar bushings are designed with comfort in mind, allowing the sway bar to articulate while permitting additional movement, leading to less-than-ideal bar retention and causes unnecessary body roll.

Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings are firmer than factory rubber bushings, reducing body roll and keeping sway bars in check. Polyurethane bushings won't slop around like OEM bushings, allowing sway bars to function at their fullest potential.

For those wanting to move away from EDC for aftermarket suspension systems or coilover setups, the EDC monitoring can be a bit obtrusive as this type of monitoring is no longer required – resulting in numerous error messages thinking the system has malfunctioned. This EDC Emulation Module installs in less than 15 minutes and will fully emulate a fully active EDC environment when activated. Module can be activated/deactivated by via the integrated mini USB port within the module housing.

The Macht Schnell EDC Emulation Module is possible of the following features:
  • The ability to run aftermarket racing suspension/coilover setups in which EDC monitoring is not required
  • Compatible with iDrive and non-iDrive systems
  • Easy 15-minute installation process with no wire cutting
  • Proper emulation of the EDC monitoring system
  • No dealer visits or coding required after installation
  • Completely removable at any time

Note: The Macht Schnell EDC Emulation Module will disable the EDC monitoring system supplied by BMW. Once disabled the behavior of the car will change and the driver will need to adjust his/her skill and technique. For this reason, this module is not intended for street vehicles and its use may result in injury or even death if proper conditions and procedures are not followed.
Will not work on vehicles equiped with BMW's Dynamic Drive system.

Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.

By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.

Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved acceleration response, more direct shifting feel and overall improved drivetrain composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings.

Tasked with keeping the vehicles rear end firmly mounted while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber subframe bushings were engineered to provide a balance of control while keeping the ride quality soft and supple. As a factory bushings age, they become brittle and begin to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play, or movement in the subframe. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk or "thunking" noise under acceleration and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushings with full polyurethane this play is eliminated since the subframe is being held in place by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering and acceleration inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. As a factory bushing ages, it becomes brittle and begins to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play in the suspension joint. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushing with a full polyurethane unit or using a bushing insert, this play is eliminated since the suspension joint is being supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

The Powerflex Front Sway Bar Mounting Bushings (26.5mm) for the BMW E9X 3 Series and BMW X1 xDrive are performance-oriented replacements designed to enhance the function and lifespan of the factory sway bar bushings. Here’s an in-depth description of these bushings: Durable Polyurethane Material: Constructed from high-quality polyurethane, these bushings are far more resistant to wear and environmental factors like oil, heat, and road debris compared to traditional rubber bushings. This ensures long-lasting performance and reduced maintenance over time. Perfect Fit for 26.5mm Sway Bar: Specifically designed for vehicles with a 26.5mm sway bar diameter, these bushings provide a precise fit, allowing for optimal sway bar performance. The snug fit prevents excessive movement of the sway bar, leading to better control and stability during driving. Enhanced Handling and Body Control: By stiffening the connection between the sway bar and the vehicle’s chassis, these bushings help reduce body roll and improve handling. Drivers will experience sharper, more responsive cornering and a more confident feel during quick direction changes. Improved Steering Response: The stiffer polyurethane material ensures that the sway bar reacts more immediately to steering inputs, reducing the lag and sloppiness that can be caused by worn rubber bushings. This results in more precise and predictable handling, especially during spirited driving or on twisty roads. Resistant to Deformation: Unlike rubber bushings, which can crack, shrink, or soften over time, Powerflex polyurethane bushings are engineered to maintain their shape and performance even after prolonged exposure to stress and environmental conditions. This makes them ideal for both street and performance applications. Balanced Performance and Comfort: Powerflex designs their sway bar bushings to deliver performance gains without overly compromising ride comfort.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Each line of bushings is meticulously tested and then re-tested to ensure perfect fitment and enduring quality through the life of the vehicle. A full lifetime warranty backs every one of their products and demonstrates the level of confidence and commitment Powerflex has to their customers.

Rear shock mounts are tasked with securing shocks while absorbing noise, vibration and harshness that would otherwise be associated with a solid mount. Factory rubber bushings are a compromise between a cushy ride and responsive handling.

Powerflex polyurethane rear shock mounts are firmer than OEM bushings, resulting in better handling, a more responsive rear-end, and more efficient suspension articulation - all with minimal sacrifice to ride quality.

Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.
