Set of 12 ProSeries connecting rod bolts, made by ARP -- the world leader in fastener technology. Each bolt is made of ARP2000 material, which exceeds the strength of 8740 Chrome Moly, and is able to achieve clamp load at 220,000psi. ARP2000 fasteners are used widely in motorsport and drag racing as an upgrade from 8740 Chrome Moly in both steel and aluminum rods. These are simply the best connecting rod bolts available, making them ideal for ultra high performance, racing and forced induction applications.

This set replaces the 47mm length factory BMW rod bolts with part number 11-24-7-589-671 (11247589671) Check applications before ordering! Opened ARP bolt kits are not
returnable.

This kit saves you money and can be used as many times as you need to ensure perfectly clean intake ports for optimum airflow and performance. Included in this kit: 20lb pressure feed media blaster including water separator and pressure gauge blasting wand N54/N55 port adapter (attaches to your shop vac to catch the used media and deposits) 25lb package of walnut shell blasting media Use of this kit requires a medium sized air compressor (suggested minimum 20-30 gallon tank, 4.0 CFM @ 90psi), common "shop vac" and full hearing and eye protection. The OEM plastic PCV valve does not hold pressure well even when brand new. What this means is that when the turbochargers are making boost, pressurized air can become forced backwards through the valve and back into the crankcase. Depending on the condition of your PCV valve this can range from irritating to dangerous as a pressurized case can cause all sorts of issues. Additionally, if your valve cover is cracked due to age or has a bad gasket you are more than likely experiencing a pressure leak either internally or externally. These two features can cause even a low-mileage N54 to run like a tired elephant, sometimes even unlocking a special bonus function known as "Limp Mode". The solution is to replace any failed components and upgrade the PCV valve to something more capable withstanding the abuse of a turbocharged environment. FTP Motorsport has you covered with this solid aluminum valve assembly. It is essentially the same thing that came in your car from the factory, made out of aluminum. The internal components have also been made to fit tighter and outlast the life of an off the shelf replacement. No, this won't be the very last PCV valve you buy, but it will most certainly alleviate a lot of headaches common to N54 owners. And if you're tuned, big twin or single swapped you need one of these yesterday.
