The S63 and N63 twin-turbo V8s are world-class powerplants, but they’ve got a breathing problem. From the factory, your BMW X5M, X6M, 550i, or 650i is suffocating under massive backpressure caused by restrictive, bulky catalytic converters that trap heat and kill momentum. If you want real power, you have to let those turbos spin. Active Autowerke’s Signature High-Flow Downpipes are the ultimate "no-compromise" upgrade for the serious BMW enthusiast. Hand-fabricated in Miami, these 3.0" downpipes utilize GESi G-Sport Ultra High Output technology. You get the raw performance and rapid spool of a track setup with the refined, odorless experience of a daily driver—and most importantly, no Check Engine Light. Why These Downpipes Belong on Your BMW: Turbo performance is all about the pressure differential. By clearing the path behind the turbine wheel, you allow the turbos to work significantly less to produce significantly more. Instant Turbo Response: Experience a massive reduction in lag with quicker spool-up and instant throttle tip-in. Massive Power Ceiling: The 4.5" GESi 400-cell cores are rated for 500hp to 850hp, ensuring they won't become a bottleneck as you climb the ladder of modifications. Clean & Odorless: Forget the "gas station" smell of catless downpipes. These proprietary precious-metal catalysts keep the air clean and your cabin comfortable. Hand-Built Precision These aren't mass-produced units. Each set is TIG-welded 304 stainless steel with cast upper V-band flanges for a factory-perfect, leak-free seal. Because Active Autowerke builds these in-house, the fitment is surgical—designed for a straightforward bolt-on installation with no cutting or welding required. Turner Fitment Note: To guarantee 100% accuracy for your build, please provide your VIN at checkout. Note: These are F-chassis specific; G-body vehicles with the N63B engine require a different configuration. Core Features: No CEL Guarantee: Optimized for catalytic efficiency to keep your dashboard clear. 49-State Legal: EPA Registered and fully OBD2 compliant (Excludes CA). Built for Heat: Rated to withstand up to 1,500°F and reaches operational efficiency in just 9 seconds. Legendary Durability: 304 stainless substrate is furnace-braised to the mantle for maximum vibration resistance. Warranty Protected: Includes a 5-year/50,000-mile structural warranty and a 2-year/25,000-mile catalyst core warranty.* Technical Specs: Material: TIG-Welded 304 Stainless Steel Tubing: Full 3.0" (76mm) Mandrel-Bent Piping Catalyst: GESi Ultra High Output (400 CPI) HP Rating: 500hp - 850hp Lead Time: Custom made-to-order (Approx. 2 weeks) *A Note on Burble Tunes: We love a good exhaust crackle as much as anyone, but "aggressive" burble or pop maps physically destroy catalytic substrates. Use of such tunes will void the warranty on the GESi core.

For the BMW enthusiast seeking an aggressive upgrade for their 2010–2012 X5M or X6M without the drawbacks of "stinky" exhaust or frequent error codes, Active Autowerke offers the Aflow Catted Downpipes. These units provide the performance benefits typically associated with track-only pipes while maintaining high-flow catalytic efficiency. This design prevents the raw fuel odor and excessive cabin drone often found in catless setups, making them the ideal choice for a performance-oriented daily driver. Each set is custom-made in Miami, ensuring an exact, surgical fit to the factory mounting points. By utilizing high-quality casted V-band flanges and premium materials, these downpipes offer a reliable, leak-free solution that enhances the sophisticated V8 exhaust note without triggering the Check Engine Light (CEL). Key Features: No CEL Guarantee: Advanced Aflow catalyst design avoids catalytic efficiency warnings on the dashboard. Refined Exhaust Note: Enhances the natural V8 growl while maintaining high-end luxury refinement. Cast V-Band Connections: Precision upper flanges ensure a perfect, factory-like seal to the turbo housing. Direct Bolt-On: Replaces bulky OEM ceramic converters with no cutting or welding required. Thermal Management: Efficiently handles the high heat output of the BMW twin-turbo V8 platform. U.S. Manufacturing: Fabricated in-house to meet Active Autowerke’s high standards of quality control. Specifications: Primary Material: TIG-Welded 304 Stainless Steel. Manufacturing Location: Miami, FL, USA. Inlet Type: Casted Stainless Steel Flange. Weight Reduction: Significantly lighter than the heavy factory ceramic catalytic assemblies. Finish: Industrial brushed stainless. Build Time: Custom made-to-order (Approx. 2 weeks).
