If there is a large amount of oil on the sides of the engine or if you can smell burning oil, chances are it's a bad valve cover gasket. The gasket fails and allows oil to seep down onto the side of the engine and other parts causing a mess and reducing the amount of oil in your engine. This kit contains the basic items required to replace your N55's valve cover, including the valve cover, valve cover gasket, CCV vent hose, and the Valvetronic flange gasket. We recommend replacing the entire valve cover whenever the plastic has begun to warp or crack, as it will then only be a matter of time until cracks form, leading to oil and vacuum leaks.

If your valve cover is leaking oil or you are experiencing vacuum leaks, there is a good chance your valve cover gasket needs to be replaced.
