Please ensure your correct model is selected

The cooling system is arguably the weakest point in numerous BMWs. If you drive an aging BMW or plan on taking your car to the track like we do, we recommend beefing up your cooling system before going to the track. Generally, the main components in your cooling system that are prone to failure include the following: expansion tank, factory hoses, water pump, thermostat, fan (especially if your vehicle comes factory with a clutch fan), and radiator. Factory BMW expansion tanks are plastic and prone to either breaking off at connection points or combusting. As factory rubber hoses age they either crack or break over time - we offer silicone cooling hose upgrades for most applications to avoid future failures. If you have an older vehicle, your water pump likely comes from the factory with a plastic impeller - we offer upgraded water pumps with metal impellers that are far more reliable. Newer model BMWs utilize electric water pumps - BMW spent millions of dollars engineering these water pumps, but they fail so often that we recommend replacing at 60,000 mile service intervals to avoid being stranded on the side of the road. In terms of thermostats, we offer various upgraded thermostats for racing applications. If your BMW utilizes a clutch fan from the factory, we have several options available in terms of universal electric fans - we recommend replacing these to avoid sending brittle plastic fan blades through your hood. For radiators, we recommend swapping out your radiator for one that does not use plastic connection points like your factory radiator.

Over time, factory rubber hoses break down and eventually fail as a result of consistent exposure to chemical-rich antifreeze and hot engine bay temperatures. While all coolant hoses are prone to failure, the expansion tank hose is especially susceptible to failure. To fix this issue, ECS has created the ultimate performance hose upgrade! Crafted from heavy-duty, fiber-reinforced silicone, this ECS Exact-Fit Silicone Expansion Tank Hose withstands higher temperatures and greater pressure than the factory rubber alternative. Engineered to resist electrochemical degradation, it’s tested for continuous operation at 250°F and over 45 psi, ensuring improved reliability, enhanced flow, and reduced turbulence. To further improve upon the factory hose design, ECS engineers developed precision-machined billet aluminum "Quick Connect" hose ends. Unlike the OEM plastic counterparts, these robust components resist heat-induced failure, ensuring long-term durability and reliability. Replaces OEM Part Numbers: 17128570061, 17128507235. Installation is straightforward: begin by removing the factory overflow hose and retaining clips. Transfer the OEM metal clips from the factory connector to the new billet fittings, then press the fittings onto the expansion tank and upper coolant hose. The included silicone hose is routed through the OEM path and securely clamped onto the billet fittings. After installation, the fittings can stay in place, only the silicone needs to be removed for future maintenance. Key Benefits: Direct OEM Fitment – Retains factory hose routing while eliminating the weaknesses of rubber construction. High-Temperature Resistance – Silicone material withstands extreme heat and chemicals for long-term durability. 2-Ply, Fiber-Reinforced Fluorosilicone Construction – Provides superior resistance to glycol-based coolant and other harsh fluids. Upgraded Billet Aluminum Quick-Connect Ends – CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with integrated O-rings, ensuring a secure, leak-free connection that won’t degrade over time. Easy Installation – Includes stainless steel clamps for a hassle-free, bolt-on upgrade.

**** DOES NOT INCLUDE HARDWARE ****** Hardware - ES4772301 The N55 engine is no stranger to oil cooling problems, thats why we recommend installing the MSL Oil Thermostat. The standard oil thermostat will reach around 120 degrees Celsius with a normal driving style. The MSL Oil Thermostat will open at a lower temperature than the standard oil thermostat (at 85 degrees Celsius) and will keep the temperature stable between 95 and 105 degrees Celsius. Installing the MSL thermostat ensures a cooler oil temperature which will result in more stable performance, but above all this improves the reliability of the engine. It is recommended to install the thermostat, especially for cars that are tuned. The Thermostat is plug-and-play and made out of a solid block of high-grade aluminum at our own facility. It is equipped with a real thermostat, not an always open solution. The oil will still reach the operating temperature at the same time as a stock thermostat Features Include: 20C/68F Lower Than Stock Rock Solid Housing - CNC machined housing. Real Thermostat - Equipped with a real thermostat, not an always open solution. For use in hot and cold climates Quick Installation - Takes only 30 minutes to install.

The perfect upgrade for your connection between your thermostat and cylinder head. Designed using durable silicone and billet aluminum to greatly outlast the OE rubber and plastic combination. Some of the weakest points of the cooling systems in BMW's can come down to the OE plastic fittings breaking down from the constant changes in temperature, softening these plastic components. When this happens, even simply moving the hose slightly could cause the fitting to crack, causing the coolant to leak all over. The ECS design silicone hose with billet aluminum adapter retains OE fitment with superior strength to not only handle the performance, but also stand up to the wear and tear of a daily driver. Features: Manufactured from billet 6061-T6 and type III anodized for exceptional durability and corrosion resistance. Much stronger part than OEM plastic Will not become brittle and fatigue over time due to thermal cycling. This will prevent the part from breaking during removal and re-installation. Constructed of 4-Ply reinforced silicone for improved durability over the failure-prone OE rubber hose. Flourosilicone lined internal layer for exceptional chemical resistance. Silicone offers reduced thermal conductivity as well as improved resistance to ozone and UV degradation for improved performance and durability. Follows OEM form for perfect fitment. Utilizes OEM O-ring 11537545278 to ensure a proper seal. Replaces Genuine BMW Part Number: 11537598234

Auxillary water pumps are electric water pumps that pump coolant to critical components of your BMW. A failing pump can cause excessive noise and intermittent cooling issues, leading to potential damage if not replaced quickly enough. If the electric motor dies completely, chances are any parts downstream from the pump will overheat and fail, leading to costly repairs and replacements. Prevent this from happening by installing this brand new Auxillary Water Pump from OEM Bosch! Replaces the following BMW part numbers: 11517643949, 11517850568, 11518605322, 11518643397, 11518671654, 11518679885, 64116834917, 64116834923, 64119147359, 64119484254, 64219372723

The factory B4x/B58 heat exchanger is not built to cater to the rigorous demands often associated with a modified build. The thin core is easily overwhelmed with IAT's rising dramatically once pushed beyond a few successive WOT pulls or even a few minutes at the track. This elevation in temperature gives way to the factory ECU fail safes pulling timing and reducing overall power in order to keep the system from overheating to the point of permanent damage. On an application where enjoyment is directly attributed to pushing the platform to its limits this constraint to cooling presents a challenge for the automotive enthusiast. The Dinan B4x/B58 heat exchanger for the F2x/F3x chassis assists in mitigating these issues with a more robust core (48mm thick Dinan core vs. 27mm thick OEM core) that wields 78% more heat transfer surface area for improved cooling capacity. The significant increase in core thickness requires unique "L" shaped end tanks to be incorporated as well, which also contributes to the overall thermal mass (ability to absorb, store, and release heat) improvement beyond the OEM setup. With up to a 15° IAT delta recorded over stock the Dinan heat exchanger is ready, and able, to assist in extending your vehicles ability to deliver maximum performance time and time again for your driving enjoyment! Features: Average of 8° reduction in IAT's with a maximum reduction of 15° over 15 successive WOT pulls Reduces the tendency to heat soak / go in to limp mode 48mm thick Dinan cooler vs. 27mm thick stock cooler 78% more cooling surface area and volume than stock 100% TIG welded and pressure tested Installation hardware included (inclusive of xDrive specific transmission oil cooler brackets) NOTE: Due to the enlarged core and unique "L" shaped endtanks minor modification to the plastic core stack shroud may be required with some factory configurations ( particularly those with the optional OEM hot climate heat exchanger). Consult the installation PDF for full documentation on what exactly that entails. (https://documents.dinancars.com/d780-0002.pdf)

We have found that the expansion tanks should be replaced based on age as well as condition. Expansion tanks seem to have a lifespan of fewer than six to eight years before they show signs of fatigue and wear. Pre-emptively replacing the expansion tank as part of an overall maintenance plan can prevent you from getting stranded from a sudden failure later on.
