The factory BMW charge pipes are prone to cracking, as they are made from brittle plastic. Here at Turner, we sell several brands of replacement charge pipes that are typically made from cast aluminum. We recommend upgrading to hard charge pipes even on stock forced induction vehicles to avoid cracking - we've seen cracking occur on high mileage cars running stock power just as frequently as we do with high horsepower builds.

The N20 OE charge pipe is often prone to failure; after constant heat cycling, the factory plastic becomes very brittle, leading to cracks and boost leaks, and ultimately entire part failures. The OE charge pipe has also been proven to break once under increased boost pressure. Replace the weak OE charge pipe with the new Turner N20 Charge pipe for increased air flow, increased throttle response, and increased reliability. You can also safely turn up the boost on your N20 once this kit is installed, and not worry about the problematic factory piece. The factory F3x N20 charge pipe is made from plastic to reduce weight and manufacturing costs. While this is great for the production line and the sticker price, it doesn't hold up well as the engine ages or in the case of increased power.


Replacing the weak plastic stock part with a solid aluminum one like this will ensure proper functionality under higher levels of boost and eliminate wear caused by the heating and cooling of plastic pipes. You can also safely turn up the boost on your N20 once this kit is installed, and not worry about the problematic factory piece.


Whether you have a stock car and are looking for improved throttle response and peace of mind, or a high boost monster in search of reliability in your big horsepower build, this charge pipe is the solution.

The factory charge pipes are made of plastic, which is fine for stock boost levels but does not hold up well under higher boost levels. The solution is to replace that plastic piece with a hard aluminum one from Evolution Racewerks. 6061 high-grade aluminum not only stands up to whatever you can throw at it, but it looks great at the same time. Don't risk detonating that 400.00 plastic pipe from BMW. Swap yours out and avoid the headache of needing to call a tow-truck or drive home in limp. Features: Increase throttle response and decreases turbo lag. Lightweight High Grade 6061 Aluminum Piping. Replaces the factory soft plastic charge pipe that is prone to breaking under high boost.
