As per ZF's recommendations, Turner Motorspot suggests performing a full service on your 8HP automatic transmission every 50,000 miles. If your vehicle is modified and makes more power than stock or if your vehicle is regularly track-driven, we recommend shorter 30,000-mile service intervals. This will ensure your transmission's fluid is free from contamination which will help extend the life of internal transmission components like clutch packs and solenoids.

If you have to drop or pull your transmission for any reason, the input shaft is one of the best "while it's out" maintenance items you can replace. Worn out input shaft seals can allow transmission fluid to leak out, possibly shortening its life if the fluid level gets too low. This repair kit includes the basic component needed to replace this seal.
