Fitting a front license plate to a BMW requires drilling damaging holes forever ruining the original front bumper. Until now, the only other option was to fit an offset mount to the side using the factory tow hook. Carbonio has now engineered an OEM quality solution that mounts the license plate in the middle while doing no damage of any kind. Installation and removal is a 10-second exercise and the unit is totally self-contained, not requiring any pieces to be fixed to the car. A notable feature of the E46 M3 LCI was its carbon kevlar front bumper carrier, designed to minimize weight at the car's forwardmost point. BMW took this innovation a step further in the M3 CSL, incorporating a fully carbon carrier directly into the front bumper. However, these premium, performance-oriented components were absent in later M models. For example, the F8x M-Series models use the same bumper mounting support as their non-M counterparts straight from the factory. To remedy this, Slon Workshop has introduced a lightweight and highly rigid carbon bumper carrier, offering a superior alternative to the OEM aluminum part by reducing weight and improving structural performance.
