The factory BMW charge pipes are prone to cracking, as they are made from brittle plastic. Here at Turner, we sell several brands of replacement charge pipes that are typically made from cast aluminum. We recommend upgrading to hard charge pipes even on stock forced induction vehicles to avoid cracking - we've seen cracking occur on high mileage cars running stock power just as frequently as we do with high horsepower builds.

With constant heat cycling, the factory plastic becomes very brittle over time, leading to cracks and boost leaks, and ultimately entire part failures. The OE charge pipe has also been proven to break once under increased boost pressure. Replace the weak OE charge pipe with the Turner N55 Charge pipe for increased air flow, throttle response, and reliability. You can safely and reliably turn up the boost on your N55 once this kit is installed, and not worry about the problematic factory piece. Whether you have a stock car and are looking for improved throttle response and peace of mind, or a high boost monster in search of reliability in your big horsepower build, this charge pipe is the solution you’ve been looking for! Features: Upper & Lower Charge Pipe 6061-T6 Aluminum construction for increased durability over the factory plastic charge pipe. Can withstand higher boost pressures while offering OE-like fitment. Billet CNC throttle body flange for OEM fitment Mandrel bent 2.85” tubing (larger than stock) for improved airflow and increased performance. Black powder coated for exceptional durability and corrosion resistance. 4-ply reinforced silicone hose and 6061-T6 powder coated aluminum coupler to retain factory fitment to intercooler. The perfect compliment to the increased airflow form the Turner Motorsport charge pipes is a intercooler. Turner Motorsport has developed an intercooler upgrade that is far superior to the stock unit. Constructed from cast aluminum with a bar and plate design, this intercooler increases both cross sectional area and frontal surface area by 56%. This increase in area has shown a 45 degree decrees in intake temperature resulting in 18 wheel horsepower and 10 lb/ft of torque on its own.
