The factory BMW charge pipes are prone to cracking, as they are made from brittle plastic. Here at Turner, we sell several brands of replacement charge pipes that are typically made from cast aluminum. We recommend upgrading to hard charge pipes even on stock forced induction vehicles to avoid cracking - we've seen cracking occur on high mileage cars running stock power just as frequently as we do with high horsepower builds.

With constant heat cycling, the factory plastic becomes very brittle over time, leading to cracks and boost leaks, and ultimately entire part failures. The OE charge pipe has also been proven to break once under increased boost pressure. Replace the weak OE charge pipe with the Turner N55 Charge pipe for increased air flow, throttle response, and reliability. You can safely and reliably turn up the boost on your N55 once this kit is installed, and not worry about the problematic factory piece. NOTE: Does not include O-Rings or C-Clips Increase throttle response and decreases turbo lag with the VRSF Charge Pipe Upgrade for your F-chassis M2, M235i, 335i & 435i. Every VRSF Charge Pipe is constructed from mandrel bent, T6061 grade aluminum including the flanges. Each flange is precision machined from CNC billet aluminum, including the throttle body, intercooler, and vacuum connections. After these are tig welded and hand-finished, they’re tested on multiple jigs in order to ensure proper fitment and a reliable, leak-free connection. Each VRSF charge pipe is finished in a durable wrinkle black powder-coated finish that blends in perfectly with the engine bay. VRSF also includes one plugged 1/8' NPT bung that can be used for water injection, boost leak testing, or as a boost source. The OEM charge pipe is prone to failure at both stock and tuned boost levels which is why VRSF includes everything necessary to replace your flimsy OEM chargepipe including high quality, 4-ply silicone couplers as well as stainless steel t-bolt clamps. The perfect compliment to the increased airflow form the Turner Motorsport charge pipes is a intercooler. Turner Motorsport has developed an intercooler upgrade that is far superior to the stock unit. Constructed from cast aluminum with a bar and plate design, this intercooler increases both cross sectional area and frontal surface area by 56%. This increase in area has shown a 45 degree decrees in intake temperature resulting in 18 wheel horsepower and 10 lb/ft of torque on its own.
