From the factory, engine and transmission mounts are rubber and thus a wear component. Worn out engine or transmission mounts create sloppiness and a disconnect between the driver and your BMW's powerplant. If your vehicle is purpose built for the track, we recommend solid engine and transmission mounts. These have zero deflection, but come at the expense of added NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness). Poly engine and transmission mounts offer a good balance between OEM rubber and solid mounts for those with mixed purpose vehicles, offering great performance and connection with little sacrifice in terms of NVH.

Put an end to drivetrain flex and destructive wheel hop. The S58 engine is an absolute torque monster, especially once you start tuning and turning up the boost. While aggressive launches and heavy acceleration are the best parts of owning these vehicles, the factory rear differential mounting wasn't designed to handle that kind of abuse.

The OEM soft rubber bushing allows excessive differential twist and flex under load. This deflection transfers massive, uneven force directly to the factory mounting bolt, leading to bending or catastrophic snapping. Our upgrade replaces that weak link, locking down your drivetrain to ensure every bit of horsepower reaches the pavement safely.

Soft bushings are the enemy of launching hard, and keeping your drivetrain together. The BMW Transfer Case bushings are notoriously soft, and that is the opposite of what you want when launching a car hard. You can replace the bushing with a solid one, but this is time-consuming usually requires lowering or removing the transfer case, and results in a lot of added NVH. The best path is simply to reduce the amount of flex of the factory bushing so you keep the nice manners when cruising around town, and at idle, but when its time to the launch the transfer case cannot move as it could without the insert. These come as a set of two with 2 bolts to keep them in place. Install time once you get to them is about 2-3 minutes. Could not be easier. Put some lube on them, push them in, and tighten the screws. These are a MUST for high-power G8X, and F9X X3/X4M Builds. All platforms they fit are below. VTT noticed a hole in the F9X X3/4M market for a high-quality, lightweight, NVH-friendly, and easy-to-install Diff Lock Down kit to improve diff stability under launching, and hard cornering. So we did something about it and went to work on a very innovative design that 100% positively locks the diff down from movement, while shielding it from adding a ton of NVH, and can be used with the stock diff, and subframe bushings. This design uses existing mounting points on the vehicle, you do NOT have to remove the subframe or the Diff to install. Simply remove 4 differential bolts, drill two holes in the subframe slightly bigger, install two M8 riv-nuts, and install the lockdown, you do not even have to move the exhaust. A typical install can be 30-45 minutes for someone who is experienced working on vehicles, an hour or two if you like taking it slow.
