Our Turner Motorsport's full aluminum expansion tank was designed and engineered in house to help with the weak point in your E46 cooling system. The coolant expansion tank goes through heat cycles over and over again from regular driving, it is important that your expansion tank is doing its job to retain coolant to keep your engine operating temperatures down and keep your engine bay clean. Our expansion tank was designed to fit the OEM hoses for an easy install and comes with all the upgraded items you will need for a clean install.

VTT is happy to introduce the first and only available plug and play crankcase breather kits for ALL BMW applications that use the two-prong oil tab style oil fill caps. With this breather simply remove your oil cap, install the breather, and instantly free up horsepower, improve turbo draining, remove crankcase pressure, all while adding a cool look to your engine bay.

Can be used by itself with the stock PCV system to eliminate crankcase pressure, or with any number of PCV setups for the ultimate in crankcase pressure relieve 

Made from 6061-T6 Aircraft aluminum anodized black for a long-lasting finish, 4 stainless steel baffles for complete oil control, a PTFE one way check ball, a high-quality filter, and clamp all work together to keep crankcase pressure where it belongs, out of your crankcase.

MODEL LIST OF REPORTED CLEARANCE ISSUES: N55 E/F 3 SERIES

The N54 suffers from a weak point in its crankshaft. It has been reported that when increasing the power to the engine, the crank hub can move or spin slightly under an extreme load. This is most apparent under high-rev downshifts or in the case of increased boost pressure which creates more stress on the engines rotating assembly. In order to keep this from happening, the crank bolt must be secured to the hub to keep it from backing off, but this can be a tricky solution since a simple dab of Loctite will not suffice. 

Here is an easy, and cost-effective way to secure the situation; The VTT N54 crank bolt capture. This lightweight and durable ring slips over the head of the crank bolt fully encapsulating it, and locks it to the crank hub and eliminating its ability to spin. The VTT-CBC is 100% Billet Aircraft Grade Aluminum, Anodized black to protect it from the elements, and give it a stealth look. What's more is that it weighs only 1.3 Oz's meaning you aren't adding excess mass to the crankshaft which will avoid any imbalance or vibration issues.

While this is not a full fix for all crank hub spinning issues, the engineers at Vargas have found most issues have stemmed from the bolt itself backing out, and this is a great way to keep that from happening. Extremely lightweight at only 1.3 Oz's it adds virtually no weight to the crank which is important for balance and vibration.

Installation:

Vehicle plastic belly pans may vary. Because the Turner 8HP transmission pan is taller to allow for increased fluid capacity, some vehicles may require trimming of the plastic belly pan, or the belly pan may need to be installed over the transmission pan where it may make contact.

By the early 1990s, BMW had phased out its canister-style ignition coil in favor of an individual coil-on-plug system. The venerable M50 was one of the first engines to receive this update, which boasts greater overall efficiency through increased ignition control and spark energy. Unfortunately, over two decades later, the ignition coils used on the M50, M52, S50, and S52 engines are antiquated at best.
